The Cannon Beach Chocolate Shop is a hidden gem that is so worth it! They are located on the backside of the main drag of shops and restaurants. We stumbled across it by accident when looking for a coffee place. It is a super cute, cozy coffee house that also has a wide variety of chocolates as well. I ordered the Mayan Coffee, which the barista warned me it was “spicy.” I ordered it 16oz and hot. It was delish! The best part was that the spiciness was even throughout. I drank it slowly over time, and was surprised to find out that all the spice powders had not sunk to the bottom of the cup like most other places, making the last couple of ounces unbearable. It was good to the last sip. We also got a hot chocolate, a peanut butter and dark chocolate truffle, an orange and dark chocolate truffle, a chocolate dipped coconut macaroon, and a chocolate turtle. The truffles were silky and smooth, a perfect blend of the flavors. The coconut, chocolate dipped macaroon was not enjoyed until the next day, but it was so delicious! The baristas were very friendly and outgoing. They even have novelty chocolate bars that have Haystack Rock imprinted in them. Overall, 100%...
Read moreThe moment I stepped into the café, it felt like I had wandered into a dark chocolate lover's dream. The rich, intoxicating aroma of cocoa filled the air, and instantly, I knew I wanted to try everything in sight. As a devoted fan of dark chocolate, it was like stepping into paradise.
The menu boasted endless options, but the dark chocolate mocha immediately caught my eye—it was as decadent as I had imagined. We couldn’t resist sampling the dark chocolate salted caramel marshmallow. Just one bite, and the symphony of flavors danced on my taste buds, each layer blending into a perfect balance of sweet and salty.
Of course, we couldn’t leave without taking a few truffles home. The Mayan spice truffle quickly became my favorite, with its subtle kick of spice adding something extra to the smooth chocolate.
The café itself was warm and inviting, the perfect setting to indulge in all things chocolate. From the cozy ambiance to the heavenly flavors, it was an experience I’ll be...
Read moreDelicious dessert shop that'll satisfy your penchant for chocolate with hot/cold chocolate drinks, teas, coffee, pastries, truffles, and a wall lined up with bars of chocolate. Between the 5 of us, we had a delightful chocolate feast! It's a small menu and finger foods like sandwiches/salads aren't offered. There's only room for dessert!
The 70% Colombian house chocolate is used for the dark hot chocolate. I appreciate how it's not too sweet. Highly recommend getting it as is with whole milk rather than substituting it with almond milk, which adds a nutty flavor and doesn't mix well with the chocolate.
The 1 ounce Spoon of Chocolate is very rich and decadent and prefer the classic hot chocolate.
The Truffles are delicious and thoroughly enjoyed the Raspberry Puree truffle.
The cafe is quite cozy with small tables of 2, so don't recommend groups. There's no patio seating and can't bring your pup.
Nice cozy cafe that will satisfy your...
