Inn At Haystack Rock
Cannon Beach, Oregon You'll be sorry if you don't stay! Clean and service is great! Every single staff I ran into, was polite & accommodating December 2024 Bed was comfy. Sofa sleeper sofa was actually comfortable firm to sit and watch movies! Fireplace was sooo great! Nice, warm, great how the heat comes not just the top, but the bottom as well! Helped with drying and warming the shoes and feet😄 The fridge was good size and the kitchen was great, clean and useful. They have everything you need, especially for making late night snacks! Bathroom was HUGE. Shower a little small, but the huge Jacuzzi tub makes up for it. Lives how open it was and the bedroom being a loft style💖 There is a fan with lights in living room, which helped, and they provide a tall portable fan, which helped immensely due to how warm it can get in there(mainly upstairs) even in December!!! I think we only touched that heater once when we came back from being caught in a downpour... You put it up to 70 for 30 minutes and then it pretty much stayed at between 50 and 60 the whole time. Clean, this place was the best cleaned,it was GREAT! I LOVED that the cottage was all by itself 💜 I forgot to take a picture of the outside. But I bet it is beautiful in the spring and summertime with that patio and fire pit. This will be our to-go place every single time we want to get away for one night or even a week.... As we only live 10 minutes away in Seaside, lol.. Even the staff is AWESOME!! Sergio is the young man at the front desk, he's such a polite and helpful guy, can't go wrong with him! The manager of housekeeping, I think,,,I think her name was Yvonne,,eek I remember a V her her name, I think I got it wrong...she was very intentative and accommodating, right there whenever I had a question or needed something !!! Them maintenance. What guy was always around which? Made me think that they always made sure that they were keeping the place upkept.. I think my hubby and I agreed that this was the best place that we have ever stayed at... And that even beats staying at the embassy suites and the portland downtown classy hotels!!! LOVE THIS PLACE
Really is such a nice, clean cozy place to stay!! The bedroom has a really neat picture window of a seagull. If you look through it you can see the courtyard, that in the spring and summer I'm sure has beautiful flowers, and a fire pit. The view from the living room to look up the loft for the bedroom It's nice that the stairs have lights at the bottom of the stairs and then lights at the top of the stairs.. CLEAN, the best, most cleaned bathroom I've ever seen☺️ Love the color! Shower a little small, but is good. Very appreciated the openess, space this...
Read moreMy wife and I will never frequent this place again. On a Pacific Northwest trip my wife and I were traveling from Port Angeles (Olympic National Park) and anticipating after hours arrival, so I tried to check in online. The mobile check in link was not working, so I called the number per our email to which I was curtly told this is for emergencies only. I then called the office number to be told it will be fine and to call the number on the door for instructions when you arrive. Arriving after 9pm, we see the office is closed with a posted sign saying to call the office number and press 5 for emergencies. No answer, voice mail left. I then called the "emergency" number, again no answer, voice mail left. This was repeated over the course of 40 minutes with no answer. At this time, we decided to check with other hotels. We received more kindness and helpfulness from the staff of the Hallmark Resort in 5 mins. My wife in a fit of desperation texted the emergency number to which we then received a response telling us the code to the mailbox that had our room number and key. Had she not done this, we would have been staying in another hotel and out money. Now some would say well you eventually were in contact. What would have happened if we did not text? When we then followed the text with a question, we received no response until the next morning when the number called me at 852am. I did not answer, out of concern my anger would best me. We checked out and informed the desk clerk we would like to talk with management about our stay. This was on 10-13-2024 at 9am. We have still not been contacted. This was unquestionably the worst customer service and concern we have ever encountered in our years of traveling. After arriving home, I was notified we had a credit from this hotel, so I honestly felt management had heard our voicemails and responded. I was sadly mistaken; we were just charged twice. Absurdity at its finest. Response from hotel was dishonest and honestly offensive. “We're sorry you had some issues with communication. Our front desk agent gave you the code in the evening when you called before 9pm and the manager answered your call when you called in the morning asking where you should leave your keys when you checked out.” BOLD FACE LIES. As of today (23 days later,) the hotel still has not addressed...
Read moreI have never left a bad review in my life, but this one is truly deserving of it. I wanted to leave this a five star review as we had planned on returning a few weeks later with our youngest son, but after our experience we will not. We did like our cottage, as it had ample room for a family and a pet (if you wanted to bring one). However, that is where the problem lies…
We initially made a reservation for ourselves and our dog, but we did not end up bringing our dog, because he got sick. We called a few days prior to our arrival to let them know that we would not be bringing our pet. We called several times and no one ever answered the phone. So, we left a voicemail and followed it up with an additional voicemail the next day. We never received a call back.
When we checked in we let the front desk know that we tried to reach them and wanted to make sure that they knew we did not end up bringing our dog. She said no problem and that the pet charge was removed (though we weren’t feeling confident that this was done).
Upon check-out they said we were good to go, but my husband insisted on a copy of the receipt, because he had a feeling that the pet charge was not removed. Good thing he asked, because it was indeed not removed as they said it was. The front desk staff called someone on the phone and after much conversation came back and said the amount will be credited back and we will see it in 7-10 days. We noticed on the return receipt that they had taken away the pet charge and then added it back (zeroing out the balance), but they assured us we would see the credit.
Of course, the credit never came. We emailed the front office to let them know and their attitude was that this was no longer up for discussion. “It has been done. If you don’t see it call your bank.” We emailed back and asked them for the receipt showing the return authorization…no response.
Unfortunately, this had to be resolved by way of a dispute on our credit card bill. This has caused so much time, effort and...
