As a local who’s been to the Palace countless times I normally have a good experience. A few of us went out to see something here and had intended on sitting in the balcony. The balcony wasn’t yet open so we waited around for probably 20 minutes before eventually we decided to ask a staff member if there even was plans to open it. We saw two security guards and an older man in a Palace uniform. We approached one of the security guards as they didn’t seem to be involved in the conversation with the other and the palace employee. The fact is this employee deemed it necessary to almost yell at us like children and tell us to “wait a minute” while practically shooing us away when we didn’t even approach him. We approached someone who seemed to be not be in the conversation and could possibly answer a simple question but instead practically got yelled at by someone we weren't even speaking to. For someone who appears to be in a management position he really didn’t act like it. Additionally we saw him have a similar interaction with another group of patrons. I will make mention that we were some of the last people there and the mentioned security guard was closing up and was pretty friendly and polite.

Read moreThis place is critical to the downtown Canton experience. From free movies during the First Friday events each month to the regular live shows I can't think of anyone else in the area who can compete.
I myself have been here dozens of times for all kinds of things. My earliest memories of such were yearly visits to see The Nutcracker with my grandparents, and some of my latest have been Magic shows and Anime Fest.
Speaking of Anime Fest that's the reason I was there yesterday and will also be there today and tomorrow. It's a now annual event that gives us Anime nerds something to look forward to nearby.
Getting back on topic though the theater has plenty of seating and a beautiful animated ceiling of the night sky. The prices aren't half bad for tickets or concessions, and it sure beats the trip to another stadium up North if you're lucky enough to live in the surrounding areas.
If you're looking for something to do, try the...
