Overall it was a good time, with a nice enough place to stay at while out of town. We stayed here for 2 nights, had a 2 bed room on 3rd floor. Things I liked: 1. Place is very clean! 2. I loved the way the room smelled when walking in idk what it was but I loved it lol. 3. They give you cookies at check in. 4. Staff was friendly. 5. Beds were comfy. 6. Wifi + Stuff on TV. My complaints: 1. The bathroom door wouldn't lock, or even stay shut idk if this was something about our room or if it's the same in all but it's pretty weird for a bathroom door to not stay shut. 2. Shower includes a glass door and positioned right across a giant mirror, some people may love this but I found it weird being able to see myself shower. 3. Parking is weird, maybe it's not so bad if staying at a time it's slow but when attending for an event it's very limited parking unless you pay to park in the parking garage across the street which isn't ideal when having stuff to transport into the hotel. 4. You must have a room key to use the elevator, at first this didn't bother me as I thought of it as a safety precaution, however later realizing there's access to an open staircase clearly seen in the lobby, it's just pointless and frustrating if you forget your key card because you're thinking oh my friends in the room so I don't need it, get to the elevator ... ah sh*t that's right. 5. The cookies are it, no free breakfast. :( 6. I personally didn't mess with the air in the room but my friend said it wasn't able to adjust, the unit by the window says to use the thermostat on the wall which she tried but it wouldn't actually change. It was pretty dang cold, which was nice at times but well cold at others. Overall I'd say if you find yourself in Canton needing a place to stay, it's good enough to try out. Plus I didn't really see many other options nearby. You can trust you'll have a clean room, something to watch, able to connect online, and a nice bed to sleep in. Oh and a cookie. Almost forgot, the coffee maker in the room may or may not cause some confusion because it's the kind that takes pods but it looks like they've stocked you with a basket of regular type coffee and tea hotels have in the little bags. But if you open the bag you'll find it's a little circle pouch that you just toss into the pod area.

Made a little trip from Buffalo NY to Canton to see the Pro football HOF. After some time researching the area and hotels, i settled on Doubletree downtown. Every worker we came across was very friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcomed and at home. I loved the location. Its a quiet area. Very easy to get to. I never like hotels along the interstate because theyre so loud so this was a perfecr location. They offered free street parking or there was a garage on the opposite for for $8 a night. I opted for the extra security of the garage. There was even a 2nd level covered walkway from the garage to the hotel. You need keycards to access the doors, elevators etc. I liked the added security. Just dont leave your room without it! Lol. The pool was nice. The weight room i didnt have time to use but i was impressed with what it had. I gor a dluble queen room, the beds were great but the room was a bit cramped. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but personally my next trip i would try and find a larger suite. The restaurant attached had some great food and dessert. They offer a breakfast buffet for $18 a person [my son was $10]. Honestly i think my next trip id skip the breakfast buffey and opt for a local diner. 1 egg choice, pancakes sit in a warmer and were pretty hard. The fresh fruit and yogurt parfait was good though. Thetes also a little 'market' just to the right of the front desk. They have a large variety of chips, candy bars, gummies, ice cream etc as well as fresh to-go meals from the restaurant. Sandwiches, salads, pasta dinners etc. Overall i was very happy with my choice and we are already planning our next trip and will be choosing Doubletree downtown canton again. To summarize: Great location. Great pricing. Friendly staff. Great lunch/dinner at restaurant. Breakfast buffet was convenient but meh. Get a suite if you'd want extra space.

Our vacation was transformed into an adventure worth sharing. We stepped into the vibrant world of the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Canton, OH, where every moment is a delightful surprise waiting to happen! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with not just a warm Chocolate Chip cookie, but also with genuine smiles from the incredible front desk team, led by the amazing Monika. Talk about feeling instantly at home! But wait, it gets even better. The lobby itself is a masterpiece, setting the stage for an unforgettable stay. And as we ascended in the elevator, we couldn't help but feel the upscale vibe, knowing that this hotel is a favorite among former NFL players and their families, thanks to its proximity to the NFL Hall of Fame. Our room? Pure bliss. Every detail meticulously crafted for both style and comfort, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the sights and sounds of Canton. And let's talk about cleanliness - spotless doesn't even begin to describe it! While we didn't get a chance to take a dip in the pool or break a sweat in the fitness center (next time for sure!). Even our checkout experience was pleasant with the exceptional and friendly Ky bringing her positive attitude and delightful smile! Our only minor hiccup was the limited parking. But fear not, dear travelers, for even in this, there's a solution - street parking on a first-come, first-served basis or the conveniently located post office across the street. Despite this tiny inconvenience, we wholeheartedly give the DoubleTree Hotel a glowing 5-star rating. Trust us, this is a must-stay destination that we'll be coming back to again and again!

This was a really nice property! I arrived very early as I had an early flight in. As a Diamond member, I was grateful that they got me in right away, AND upgraded my room. I enjoyed my VERY spacious two-room suite. It was a handicap room, but considering the extra space I didn't mind at all, although the shower does get the bathroom floor quite wet. A longer shower curtain or just moving the rod down a couple inches would be nice. The room was pretty clean (although I did find a bottle cap between the couch cushions and a cuff link on the floor), as was the rest of the property. Only disappointment was that it's obvious they used to have a hot tub that at some point must have broken, and they decided to just board it up rather than fix it. Great location in the heart of downtown! Parking is extremely limited to just a few curbside spots. They are free, though, which was a welcome surprise. Other than that you'll have to park off-site, but if you're there during the middle of the week, you'll likely be able to get a free spot at the curb.
