Santangelo's Catering — Attraction in Canton

My fiancé and I had tasting setup and it was FANTASTIC. Joseph prepared a variety of dishes for us and the other couples to try with everything being great. Most of the items that we sampled aren't going to be part of our wedding but if what we want is good as what we had then this will be a great spread for our special day.

Joseph has a lot of Integrity when it comes to his business, he could have easily just sold everyone on what they wanted but provided honest feedback on options based on ingredients and location. For example, we were looking to have nuggets and cheese sticks for our appetizers but Joseph advised against it as our venue doesn't have a deep fryer. One couple was looking to get cannoli's and Joseph was upfront with how he prepares his and what they could potentially cost. Some companies will try to sell you a dream but Joseph made sure that everyone needs/wants was met.

Also, I do apologize for not remembering her name but Joseph's wife was very informative as well and I had a question regarding the bridal party having a chance to eat the appetizers, she confirmed with me that she always make sure that the bride/groom has a portion of that food for them to tried. That really made me feel good about choosing this company for catering.

Yes, they are business trying to make money but at the same time you could tell that truly cared about how the business is ran and making sure your day goes smoothly.

To start, I had called months in advance knowing what I wanted to have them cater for my wedding and they had told me that they would get back in touch to finalize everything the month prior to the event. The week before the event I still did not have anyone contact me. I had then decided that it was better to just start an email thread with them since that seemed like the only way I was going to get an answer. I went and paid for everything with a check which was a preferred method of payment they wanted the day before the event and upon arrival the one lady almost seemed irritated with me, come to find out there were 2 customers with the same name and they were having trouble with the other with payment. The day of the event they had arrived in a timely manner and most of the food was at least a 4 star. The staff though was rude to some family members and when it came to cake cutting which is what santangelos provides they shoved cookies off of cookie trays and mixed them so they could "chop" the cake, family paid big bucks for and throw it on the table with attitude. In my opinion I feel as if they did not deserve the extra tip I paid and I would have probably chose a different caterer. We were very disappointed with our experience with Santangelo's at our wedding. Despite being told in advance that we would be their only event that day, they ended up catering another event and arrived late with our appetizers. This caused unnecessary stress and disrupted the flow of our day. Even more frustrating, no one could get in touch with them during the delay — communication was completely lacking when it mattered most. While the food itself was good and our guests enjoyed it, the service and professionalism did not live up to what was promised. We were also told we’d be able to keep the leftover food, but they packed everything up before guests even had the chance to go back for seconds.
