Bedford Street Antiques LLC — Attraction in Carlisle

Not the same as in years past, walked out of there empty-handed when I used to find good stuff there in the past almost every time I went in. Packed booths do not mean quality. More like eBay rejects. There is a woman at the counter who has been there for many years, I believe her name is Mary, she used to have red hair but has short gray hair now. She is very abrasive and not friendly. When I was there I didn't get all the nice greetings that other people in these reviews got. I think the employees here should remember that they represent all the different vendors and their own personal feelings should be put aside. Will never be back again, but why should I? Nice and clean almost all vendor areas are organized. Antiques to vintage to new(jewelry). Toys to stamps coins collectables. Antiques dolls and house items from the turn of the centry and a little older. Old knives old kitchen tools and utensils. Vintage plates and ware, old corning ware. Vintage christmas and collectibles. Vintaye and old records. Some old radios and players. Old wooden toolboxes(mechinist). Old vintage jewlry you can wear today, very stylish. The usual nicnacs and glassware.

Take a walk back in time. You will see the things grandma and granddad had at home . You will remember your childhood.

Bigger than I expected! Some booths are well laid out, lots you’d have to pick through (half the fun!), and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Some of the pricing seemed a bit high throughout, specifically on books. Example: a 1955 hardcover on Bolívar in decent shape for $20. Another booth had a hardcover of Carlisle Old and New, 75th Anniversary Edition for $18 or $20. Most hardcovers (no matter how obscure) were at least $12.

Still a great place to find some interesting pieces, or at the very least entertain your eyes. Due to the size of the place, plan on at least 1-2 hours, unless you’re looking for a very specific piece… then...
