Another chain. We all know what to expect from Starbucks: homogenized coffee drinks, pretentious attitudes, and a flair for black and green. I know, I used to line their coffers with my cold, hard earned coins for far too many years. Like most chains, you can expect the same from place to place. Now, I stopped in to bleed off their WiFi, buying a pound of coffee for my girlfriend to justify my presence. What I met with was a change in their WiFi policies; perhaps this has been the way they do things for some time now, but the now they require your name, email address and zip code. I, of course, made stuff up and blissfully logged in to what I was hoping would be better than the library WiFi down the road, but, alas, t'was not to be. It's garbage. Try no better than one megabye download. That's like satellite or free airport WiFi, not Starbucks, king of coffee the world over! If you're coming here to drink coffee and surf the internet, you've got another thing coming to ya. Go somewhere else, especially if you no longer drink coffee, or can't stand the stink of self-righteous, pretentious coffee drinkers. Yes, I once fell into that category, now I just don't drink coffee anymore. I hope this...
Read moreI’ve been going to this Starbucks for about a year now. The staff not only is friendly but also will remember your name if you become a regular. Which I am still getting use to. 😅 I have gone here on my bad days knowing that I will be shown a little kindness. And I am never let down. I appreciate the staff and think they are not only hard workers but good people. Thank you. 😊
Edit to 3 stars: I’m not sure why but the staff now isn’t as friendly as they were when they opened. Far from it. Had a few upset workers on different occasions that seemed like they were having the worst day. I always do the ordering ahead so I am mostly in and out which is good. There are still a couple of nice workers. But not my go to coffee shop anymore. The starbucks at Albertsons is better at this time.
Edit to 5 stars New manager is awesome. The staff are very hard workers and are great at their job. It’s not easy servicing an oilfield town yet, they do it so well. Thank you...
Read moreIf I could give a zero I would! Unbelievable, place was dead 2 cars in drive through 4 airheads behind the counter.... did not get greeted as we walked in, stood around waiting with still no communication from staff for a few minutes. Finally the blonde with dead eyes attempts to take our order and struggles comprehend an easy order of regular coffees, let us get through the order then tells us no splenda we have Stevia only. None of the typical Starbucks charm to please the customers in this location, had she been polite and put some effort into the customer service end of it I wouldn’t have bothered with a review at all. Drive the extra 20 miles and grab a good coffee at the independently owned coffee shop in Artesia. I was a manager at Starbucks for years the service end is just as important as the product. I guess no more creating the 3rd space...
