Exceptional craftsmanship, artistry and service! We couldn’t be happier with how my husband’s wedding band turned out. After looking at many rings online, we were intrigued by the idea of inscribed, glow in the dark rings, a la Lord of the Rings. Our favorite design was an inexpensive plated gold ring from Etsy that had a Sanskrit meditation chant inscribed all around. So I used Google Translate to translate the phrase I wanted into Sanskrit script, a nice homage to our shared South Asian heritage. I asked around to see if anyone (including the creator of the Etsy ring) could create the ring with a custom phrase and long-lasting materials, but the original creator didn't work in gold and many of the big jewelry stores just said "no," their “custom” ring selection was very cookie-cutter and limited. I was lucky to find Pierce Jewelers, from the moment I walked in, John was kind and warm, and his passion for his craft was evident. When I showed him the meditation ring, he said he hadn’t made anything like that before, but was eager to try. He said Chuck, the watch expert at Pierce, might know something about glow in the dark materials, and within a short conversation they figured out an approach to inlay glow-in-the-dark material into white gold. The estimate he gave was very reasonable. From there they began the design process, from John sketching the ring to sending it for a 3D rendition and making a wax 3D print to try on for size. I first showed the ring design to my husband at the 3D rendition phase, and he loved it. Once the actual ring was finished, it was even more beautiful. Honestly the best experience I have ever had working with any form of retail and customer service. Pierce Jewelers out does the competition in all facets, but focusing on the main ones: Price, Quality, Customer Service.

Price- Flat out I was able to receive a 1.14k ideal cut colorless diamond and a 14k custom designed diamond ring for 6.5k after tax. The appraisal was much more! As John informed me they aren't trying to price to market, rather their goal is developing customers for life. Right then and there they had one!

Quality - As I said before ideal cut, colorless diamond. They don't buy anything at 1k, they go from .9k up to 1.1k. I traveled to just about every jeweler in Indy, and none of them could supply me a diamond with as good of a cut and color as Pierce.

Service- Great people! I talked to them about my profession, how they started this business. I felt bad because we ended up talking past closing time! My experience was looking at their rings and saying "You know she really likes flowers, and I want a ring that just says flower". John pulled me over to his desk and showed me all these hand drawings of rings with flower designs to accentuate the diamond and different leaf designs on the side. I was able to work with him as he drew out my own personal ring.

I needed to have a loose prong on my engagement ring repaired but wasn’t sure where to go. A friend highly recommended Pierce Jewelers, and I’m so thankful I listened.

When I took my ring in, they discovered that in addition to the loose prong, my diamond was chipped. They showed me the damage using a jeweler’s loupe and clearly explained my options. I decided to file an insurance claim, and they worked with me and my insurance company to handle the process.

From there, the Pierce team worked closely with me and my husband to design a new engagement ring that looked identical to my original setting. However, they also incorporated a new feature—a hidden Cliq hinge in the band, which allows the ring to open slightly and fit my finger perfectly. For the first time, my ring sits upright and doesn’t spin. I truly LOVE my ring, which combines all the sentiment of the past with the technology of the present.
