The manger at the Carrollton location has created such a toxic/abusive environment for not only the employees but for the customers as well. The manager lacks compassion, emotional intelligence, and is a liability to the store. His mood will determine what kind of day the store will have causing all employees to have to walk on egg shells. This is the type of environment where you are threatened with a write up if you’re not available to come in hours before your regular shift or stay hours after. All while giving you less than 24hr notice. I would never recommend anyone who I love or care about to work in environment that is being led by someone who lacks that much of competence. If this company wants to last another 75 years then it’s got to gain back the integrity it once had but if they keep managers like him around, they will never make it! I’ve seen assets quit on this store while the manager continues to be the liability. No income? No worries, you’re approved! This company will also finance furniture without verifying employment. All you have to do is list that you are Retired, receiving social security, or disability and insert an amount that you receive. They will NOT ask for you to provide proof or request a copy of the reward letter. You can also walk in with NO employment AT ALL and they will finance you as long as you state that you have a job. This is the biggest SCAM in the company right now. It’s great for the customer but unfortunate for the employees who have to stay until 9pm calling people who can’t pay because they had NO JOB to begin with. What’s also good news for the customers is that he will take his own money to pay on their accounts to meet numbers if needed. And if you forget to sign a contract, no worries, he’ll forge it for you! You’re only treated as an asset of he can control you. When you stand up for yourself, you’re met with retaliation like having hours reduced or get hit with a heavier work load that would basically force anyone to quit. Sales Associates only get paid when the furniture is delivered, so if the manager is pissed at you for whatever reason, he will move your sales delivery out so it won’t go onto your current paycheck! That’s what he does! This is how he gets back at you! He won’t fire you, he’ll just manipulate your work schedule and treat you unkindly in hopes that you’ll quit. He hires out of disparity and once he realizes the person wasn’t really an assist to begin with, he’ll just treat you unkindly and worthless hoping that you’ll quit. And they do! People will just walk out of this place without notice because it’s not worth it! People quit managers, not jobs! You can report the behavior to the group manager and HR but it won’t matter! We have reported so many misfortunes at this location but only the employees leave, the manager still stays. But don’t take my word for it, just ask around. Read moreI had purchased some recliners from Farmers. Sales was great and wasnt pushy at all. I noticed that the wireless charging station on the floor model wasnt working properly but didnt think anything of it but i told them I did not want to floor model. We made the purchase a few days later. After they set the couches in the house and plugged everything up, i noticed that the charger was not charging properly. Either these couches come with bad chargers or they gave me the floor model. Unfortunately i dont have proof if they sent me the floor model or not.
What bothered me was when I called service, they kept telling me that the service guy would be in tomorrow but when tomorrow would come they would give me the same answer. When I finally got in touch with service a few days later, they said I would have to use my extended warranty to cover for labor. (If extended warranty is not used after 2 years, it can be used as a credit for their store) It’s a brand new couch. couch was delivered saturday and i called first thing Monday morning. My mother purchased a table from this place in 2022- and she was only sitting in one of the chairs and notice the screws were falling out, so she went to homedepot to buy wood glue to make the screws stay because they kept falling out!! She then decicded to glue the rest of the chairs but screws where missing out of the chairs. This was schocking, because they put the chairs togeather at her home and failed to use all the screws to keep the chairs together. My Mom is 62 years old and paid over 400.00 for this table that should last her for years not just one year and starts to fall apart!! While on the phone with Glenn he insinuated that we were lying about the screws being missing as if my 62 year old mother took the screws out of the table!!! for what, and why lie!! beware of purchaing items from this store, they don't make furniture like they use to but they have the price on it with poor quality!!!
