i've lived in carson city since 1985. I been here many times off and on. for years i wouldn't go near the place because the urinal in the men's bathroom overflowed every flush onto the floor (with my and others urine in it) and then created a little river that went directly into the pool. they fixed that eventually but left it that way for years prior. so recently i had two new bad experiences there. first. i bought my roommate and 6 year friend a 10 pass card. she loved it there. after two visits she calls me and says the other 8 visits on the card have disappeared. staff told her she should keep better control of her card. she lives in separate building on my lot and kept card in her wallet. it was never lost. two. i bought a senior 10 visit card. you get a $1/visit discount, $9 instead of $10 for standard adult 10 pass card (single visit is $15). what they didn't tell me is that if i got a standard card, $10/visit i could use it for other people i brought with me too. for a senior card, to save $1 per visit, if you bring a 2nd person they SWIPE THE CARD TWICE!! so instead of $10 on the regular adult card, $18!!! even more than the standard no card $15 rate!!. So i went again today to buy my friend another card... i asked if they have a old fashioned punch card because i don't trust their computer system. no. so i told them if i didn't get my 10 visits this time i was going to be really upset. guy told me he already talked to my friend about the situation and she was clearly lying. then left to go talk to the manager. an unpleasant woman. she came out and told us we could never come there again (even though my friend loves it there, was super nice to them, and was crying as they said this...i deserve it, I refuse to be utterly ripped off without a fight...) because we were negative (yes i am. very. they deserve it). i told them given their other yelp and google reviews, and my long association with her, I believed my friend not them. i think they gave two people the same customer number and the other person probably got shorted the two visits my friend was able to make. seriously read the other reviews about this place. it was a health hazard and still is. I rented a private tub one time and white goo was floating in it . you'd think they'd at least have a filter or a scum net. and ... the pool is no where near hot. 98F? only near the inlet. love their shower head too in the bathroom. it just mists water out under high pressure and by the time it touches you its cold. go there yourself and find all this out the hard way. i will drive to wallys or grover or paradise spa happily to avoid this unpleasant place and especially the two super rude people who work there. oh, the sauna smells terrible, they never clean it. i saw a glob of goo in there too and two weeks later it was...

I drove in from Washington state the day before to visit family for a week. I had an awful migraine and they recommended this place so I could relax and decompress.

First of all, $28 for 2hrs for a room of water that comes up to your hips is way overpriced. Upon check-in the only room available was F. The next available one wasn't for another 30min. I will say the room was clean, new trash bag in the container, dry mat and bench too. The water was 100.6* and felt good. The issue I have is with a screeching fan above the room that can't be turned off. When I say it was screeching, I mean it was continuous nails on a chalk board and loud. I knew I couldn't complain because there were no other rooms available. After 45min I couldn't take anymore. I got out, dried off, gathered my things, used the restroom (also clean) and went to the desk.

When I told the young woman what happened in the room and how it's not relaxing at all, she offered no apologies and flatly asked "why didn't you come here, we would have switched you." | reminded her that no rooms were open and it would have been a 30min wait. At this point a male worker chimes in and says "I bet it's the pipes feeding in." Uhm, no sir. "it's most definitely the fan because you can match the awful screeching pattern with the way the fan was moving," I told him. The young woman again says I should have come to the desk. Clearly she didn't understand what I told her just mere seconds before.

No apologies. No sincerity in her "I can't do anything for you" speech." No empathy at all when I explained why I was here. When I asked who the manager was (so I could reach out the next day) she replied "we have several.." After promoting again, she said the managers are "Mark & Keith, but they're rarely here. They just pop in when they want.

At this point I gave up. She didn't give two cents about the experience or my frustrations. This by far one of the worst customer service experiences l've ever had. All in all, l'd recommend the place if the staff was competent, and the...

Carson City Hotsprings have completely been a disappointment, frankly that's lightly said. I am completely disgusted by my experience there. On May 18th 2024 my friends and I arrived with much excitement to enjoy a full day of relaxing. Upon arrival, after payment was made we entered the womens restroom to prep and change. To our horror when we entered the restroom we faced a disgusting situation. There stood in front of the vanity a young lady with blood dripping down her legs to the floor forming a puddle where she stood. In shock I watched her proceed to the public pools outside and enter the hot tub. Upon seeing this I hurried to the front desk. The young lady (about 20) was at the front desk, she heard me out, walked with me to the restroom and witnessed the blood on the floor. She then proceeded to go outside to find that young lady and her mom, who were still in the hot tub. She kindly asked them to leave. But after approached us and proceeded to yell at us accusing us of bullying what she claimed to have been a "special needs" young lady. Her screaming attracted unneeded attention of the guest around us falsely putting us into negative light. We proceeded to inform her that all we wanted was to have her shut the pool down and clean it. She claimed she has no authority. We asked to speak to the manager. She disappeared and never returned. The guests proceeded to use the pool without their knowledge of the hazardous situation. The situation was not resolved properly. In fact the blood puddle remained in the bathroom for sometime. Our anticipated relaxing vacation was ruined. I did not feel safe using the pools or the chairs. This complaint is not to bully special needs persons (we support and minister to the special needs persons in our church) but to ensure a safe and relaxed environment for all people and be sure that those who are responsible...

Went here with my love to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate and make new memories. We live in Reno and it wasnt too far a drive and it was well worth it and want to come back for mothers day. We got a private pool but the price also included use of sauna and the outdoor pools. The private pools were warmer than the outdoor ones. We did not use sauna. We both showered down before hoping in the private pool and enjoyed our privacy in the nice warm water. There's a bench in the pool and a nice warm jet that feels great on the back. It does get very warm and steamy in there and we were getting sweaty so we went outside to the other pools. It was pretty busy outside but it felt great because there was a slight breeze which felt refreshing when you step out of the warm pools. It's family friendly but you'll occasionally see a woman in a string bikini or a man in a little Itty bitty speedo so be prepared for that. We still went to take another shower afterwards just because of being in the pool with a lot of other people but overall a wonderful experience and we will be returning soon with our kids.

We got there about 12:30pm and it looked pretty busy but there was no line. We went in and requested a private bath. There was going to be one available in less than ten minutes so we hung out outside and waited. A few minutes later we were called in to register and pay the 28$ per person price for up to two hours in the private bath. We also purchased a couple of sodas then headed to the bath. It was a small room with a bench large enough to put your belongings on and keep them relatively dry. There is a speaker for the music with a switch to turn it off or on and another switch to turn the light off and on. The stairs down into the bath are steep but there was a pool style handrail to hang onto. The temperature of the bath was perfect and the soak was so relaxing. The ladies at the counter were very nice and professional and as we left we thanked them again. We were glad that we arrived when we did because the line to get in was pretty long by 1:45pm.
