Some of the BEST breakfast you can get anywhere in Carson City or really, anywhere in area can be found right here! Obviously, Basque is what they do best and their chorizo is simply awesome and not greasy like a traditional Mexican chorizo can be but they do offer plenty of other outstanding dishes as well. My personal favorite is their massive Basque Breakfast Burritos which come filled with eggs, chorizo and potato and I always get it with jalapenos and of course, their simply to die for chorizo gravy. My wife always likes to get their Breakfast Quesadilla but I'd be lying if I said that both of us also enjoy many of their other dishes including their Spanish Chicken Omelette and Enchilada Omelette. I should note that seating is first come first serve and you can help yourself to any table you see open and I have always found the service here to be friendly and fast and my coffee always topped off. Keeping things real, the atmosphere may be the only thing that is a little lacking and that is the reason for my 4 stars there. Overall, it's fine but the decor is practical and simple and lighting may be a bit too bright and that gives it kind of a cafeteria feel. There is a front part to the restaurant that is cozier though if that's what you prefer. One thing you do need to be aware of is that they are closed on Sunday and Monday and parking in their immediate parking lot is somewhat limited but there is plenty more near by. Be sure to check their specials as when they have them, they are typically super delicious and worth trying. Need I say, this is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants and one that I bring all my out of town friends to and let me tell you, they all LOVE it just as much as I do!

The food here knocked my socks off! It was delicious!!!!!! Not to miss is the homemade gravy - unlike any other and good enough to drink! It can be added to any dish. Ordered a veggie omelette with their famous chorizo. Veggies were cooked till tender, eggs were fluffy and the chorizo was the flavorful but not greasy. I usually don’t order chorizo as it is usually overly wet with grease - ordered it as I was told this was a dry chorizo. Yep! It was super yummy!!!! Was thoroughly impressed with the meat counter that contained all the many different homemade chorizos and sausages. Traveling through Reno so not able to buy but I would if I lived in the same town as this Cafe. Excellent food and super friendly wait staff - manager even came out to visit with our party!

This place was a breath of fresh air. Literally. My brother dragged us into a smoky casino breakfast place and our women rebelled. So I searched legit places to eat in Carson City and found this place. We loved it. Everyone’s food was excellent. And that an accomplish when 8 people are ordering different items. The atmosphere was welcoming like a friends house. My brother lived in Spain for 8 years so we purchased delicious Spanish Pamplona Chorizo from the deli case. My chorizo Ranchero plate was delicious. My only knock was that the kitchen didn’t cook the spicy chorizo. My brother and I would have preferred that with our breakfast. But the mild chorizo was a winner too.

I've eaten breakfast there before and the food was good. This time however my breakfast burrito was barely lukewarm. I only had one bite. The inside wasn't warm enough to melt the grated cheese inside. The sauce on top was lukewarm as well. My friend I was with got the exact same thing and his was as cold as mine. The server came to the table because she must have noticed us talking about the food. When she did, and I told her the food wasn't hot, she said she could warm it up in the microwave for me. I asked her if the food was normally cooked in the microwave and she said no, but that's all she could do because the burrito was already rolled up and covered with sauce. I asked her if she could make us new ones that were hot from the start, rather than heating it up in the microwave like leftovers. She said she would have to charge me for the new burritos. Apparently, the owner was behind the cash register, and she also had no interest in making sure the food they served was hot. Unfortunately, I...

I have to maintain a strict gluten-free and dairy free diet due to unfortunately severe medical conditions. As a result, we call around to many restaurants when we get into a new area and ask them if they can handle my dietary restrictions. Most say “no”. Some say “no guarantees”. But every now and then you come across the rare exception who says “No problem. We’ll make whatever you need”. The Villa Basque Deli did exactly that. They had a huge menu and modified it for me in a way that made the meal authentic and yet gluten free and dairy free. It was fantastic. Every single request had the same answer “no problem” The service was excellent. The food was excellent. The staff was very knowledgeable. The Owners (who wait tables or cook or make sure that the food is done right) are exceptionally pleasant. I highly recommend Villa Basque and it will be a stop for me any time I am in...
