Golden Dragon — Restaurant in Carson City

Went to the Golden Dragon for the first timwe yesterday, arrived 2:45P. Lunch specials are 11-3 daily, so I asked if we were atill in time for the Lunch Special...all she said was while getting her order pad out was , okay you want the lunch special. I was going to order 4 of them yet after I got to the the third one she siad, okay three lunch specials added it up while I was saying I really wanted to order 4(these wereto go orders) she ignored me. Gave me the total, my grandson asked me why she didn't let me order the 4th one, while I was signing the ticket...and she was standing there I said I didn't know maybe there was a limit. Anyway, I sai thank you with no response from her, when I signed the ticket. we walked over to WalMart which I told her we were doing, we came in after and she said our order was not ready yet. I again said thank you. No response. When she brought the bag out she handed it to me, I said thank you(again no response) as she started to walk away I asked if there was hot mustard and soy sauce, she didn't answer but walked around the counter grabbed 3 packets as I said, "I really like the hot mustard..." she dropped them in the bag, said the soy sauce is on the bag...again I said thank you she just walked away. I have never been to this establishment, said thank you each time where appropriate with no response from her, have no idea what I did to upset her...yet will...

This is the best Chinese food in Carson City, Nevada. I grew up in Hawaii and had Chinese food all the time. And they are the closest to the food We had in Hawaii. Husband and wife are so nice. I know that there is a lot of Chinese restaurants in Carson. But this is the closest to the authentic ones I’ve been eating at. A lot of the Chinese restaurants cater to the American people. But this one is the best. Being part Chinese and growing up eating it all my life. Yes this is by far the best in Carson city. The food is tasty and not greasy at all. When my family from Vegas and california come to town. They love eating here. When Covid hit they were only doing takeout. Now the restaurant is open in time. My family is happy. And yes they do have chopsticks. I read all the reviews. I can honestly say there food is good. The service is great. It is just a husband and wife team. So...

A classic of Carson City. While originally founded on Carson street or old hwy 395. Now a local plugin on the north side. Vegan\Vegetarian options are available. A veggie spring roll came out as a surprise as I awaited the vegetable chow mien.

A quiet place as I popped in during a low time. The waitress being of authentic Chinese effect had little western appeal. So I can understand the comments otherwise being an understanding of that and not expecting different. I find I was provided service accordingly.

The food was an edible taste of a time when so much oil on noodles was a "tasty" delight. A single lunch dish is better suited with a small combo as full plates are family-style. I'd recommend an adaption for that to improve lunch business. .anyways, Chinese culture & food is authentically prepared in thus Chinese American classic Golden Dragon.
