ALERT! Check your pizzas for missing toppings before leaving! BEWARE ordering via delivery services! ALERT!
The Carson City Round Table Pizza parlors steadfastly refuse to follow the chain's rules and recipes to the letter.
There's a bunch of cons to go over before buying:
Firstly, if you're looking to upgrade your lunch special's pizza from a Personal to a Small, you're out of luck. For a while, they allowed upgrading, but they've disallowed the option online.
Second, the toppings have been getting more and more sparse, the vegetables used to be cut generously and piled on your pie, but now they're thin ribbons of things, depending on who prepared, perhaps. (Or does your experience differ from this? Are they still generous?)
Thirdly, I've found that they leave out toppings from their specialty pizzas, giving you your expensive, marked up pizza without all the promised toppings. You can explain this by saying that it's because they don't have that topping on a given day, but I think it's more likely that they hope you won't NOTICE.
Fourthly, they don't check the parking lot for who's waiting for food and don't even really glance at the lobby. They'll put your pizza right into their warmer and hope you run out of patience and come get it. By then, of course, it's hot, but not freshly baked.
Fifthly, they run hot and cold in terms of customer service. My most recent experience at this particular parlor was a combination of the two. The cashier was responsible, allowed for slow preparation due to low staffing and thus gave me a complimentary drink that I was going to pay for (a fountain drink). I waited around 30 minutes overtime at a table, and as mentioned, they didn't bring it to me. It stayed in the warmer behind the counter until I came up to claim it. When I found that the pizza was missing Linguica, Salami, Italian Sausage AND Olives on their Supreme pizza, the cashier asked me what I wanted her to do to make it right. I told her that I wasn't hungry anymore since I ate the pizza because it looked and smelled great. She decided to refund the whole thing, saying it would take around 6 days for it to show. She obviously wasn't happy about it, but did the right thing.
Lastly, there isn't any dedicated cashier, They were so strapped for staff they were all working the kitchen. This leads to a long wait until someone's free to take care of concerns/new orders/turning over food.
I still am not happy with how expensive these pizzas are when no one seems to check orders for errors and the crew get so tired/apathetic that they don't care about filling in orders correctly. Considering how much value you get, their prices were slightly more acceptable back when they piled the toppings on your pie a few years ago. They're clearly cutting costs at the customer's expense.
Still the best pizza in town, in my opinion, but Round Table is narrowing the distance between it and other parlors with the local restaurant's management's choices.
Again, goodbye 9.99 deals. The chain brought them back, but the Carson City stores don't appear to honor these (they want more money and their response on it was: we think the deals we offer are better for YOU).
The drink selection is poor unless you get a fountain drink. If you want your money's worth for a drink, get the fountain drink because you CAN refill the little cup they give you with a paper straw (it's good that they're concerned about our planet's well being, although they straws get a bit soggy after some use!)
3/15/2022 - Excellent service! They brought the pizza to my table, nothing was missing and the food was delicious! I'd like to (again) increase the rate I've given them, but I'll give it a few more visits before I decide.
I hope this review helps prospective consumers. You CAN still get a FABULOUS pizza here! They're delicious, no matter what's missing. (So far?)

Read moreI'm not a big fan of round table, but my fiance is and so we decided to go there for dinner a few nights ago... originally I did a mobile order for a future order, I chose a 2 hour window and chose pick up time of 6:05... when we got to Round Table at around 615pm, we told the lady that we decided to eat at the restaurant and it was no issue that we had changed our minds. We chose a spot, and realized after a few minutes that we STILL HAD NOT recieved our food... about 35 minutes after my scheduled pick up time, the lady brings out our large pizza and we were immediately disappointed!!! Half of the pizza was cooked more than the other!! I was shocked to find out that for a large pizza with 2 toppings and an order of cheese sticks that my bill was almost $40. NEWS FLASH ROUND TABLE... YOUR PIZZA IS NOT GOLD, IT DOESNT TASTE THAT GREAT TO CHARGE AN ARM AND A LEG! honestly, if you just gave better service and stuck to pick up times, I would be having to write this review... every single time I have had to pick up an order from the Round Table on Market Street I have never had it on time.... and I'm not talking just a couple minute difference. No. I'm talking a 15-30 minute difference! Yall dont respect your customers but YALL CHARGE AN ARM AND A LEG FOR...
Read moreWell I thought round table was a decent place to eat you know reputation and all quality Pizza but this place is horrible I wouldn't go there for their lunch special which was the problem or for dinner staff that doesn't give a damn a manager it's too young to get respect from his subordinates turns out to be one of the worst experiences I've had that day. Without touching any food I demanded my money back spoke with the manager who returned apologized on behalf of the company but I'm sorry apologies don't get it when you're taking high dollar from customers and just expecting a halfway decent meal. I will never go there again and I live here too and also told three couples about my experience very quickly as they entered the establishment for what they thought was going to be Emil luncheon of a lifetime for just over $8. Yeah right. So I marched my little butt over to Pizza factory where I've been to before and got extraordinary service from the owner and his staff. I just want to round table cuz I was in the area. That was a mistake....
