Do not go here. Jessica the office lady is so unprofessional it is crazy. Like how does she have that job or any job to say the least. She yelled and lied and honestly even got personal with me from her. Literally shocking how I was treating on the phone by this woman. They are con men and women. I needed new wiring in my house and called them. They came out and I went with their service and they still charges me the 85$ estimate charge but okay. They should have knocked it off since I went with their services. Then we set for 3 different appointment days. I had to put a deposit down of 3k before they even started the work. Then I pay the rest 6k when the work is done. Mind you it is July 10. It’s hot as heck and I have my kids home for summer. They came for the second check and told me I need to pay them 950$ for their work on this day. Hummm no. We agreed on work for the next week and tipped them and said goodbye. Come to the day noon before I had SCHEDULED work for the next day. I was extremely busy and never got any texts. Then I got one around 3 and I got a voicemail from Kaitlyn saying if I don’t call back they have to reschedule becas they require you to confirm in a 3-4 hour time limit the day before. What!?! Who on a work week has time to be attached to their phone??? So I called back at 3:16 and Jessica said she is no longer offering the courtesy call extension and they will not be rescheduling for a month and a half out. I don’t have electricity what???? I paid you 3k what???? Why becas I was at a funeral memorial and didn’t get to my phone I now have to pay them and I don’t get my appointment time??? She is nasty. So she ended up just saying I’m Not offering you this. I said I can literally tell you the time on my phone log that I called back 15 min later. Hecka petty she said Ph please I would love to see it Sarah. Please text me.
So just disgusted by that company. Definitely not for small towns. Take that shady business practices to Reno.
Make sure you read ALL FINE PRINT BECAS THEY WILL END UP KEEPING YOUR MONEY.
My reply to Jesse after we spoke. My misunderstanding was not of the confirmation becas even Jesse said I confirmed twice before. But it was the fact I was in an EMERGENCY situation and called 16 minutes after I got a call from Kaitlyn saying hurry up and confirm. No room for error with this company. And don’t listen to their technicians becas they just do and say whatever.Oh and the SMOKE ALARMS THEY JUST PIT IN (which Jesse said I can keep as they won’t come get them) are ALREADY BEEPING! Omg. How unsafe. I have kids. For y’all to be messing around with the electricity in someone’s home is just a low blow. And that sucks the most. You trust this community but not this company. It’s out for money. And I told them that after they said I can keep it he says well that is becas it’s faulty. Then why let me keep it???
Jesse has now changed his reply to me on this page (7/18 new and not original post) still not address the company’s faulty policies and shady practices. Shows they don’t take accountability. And shows they have no...
Read moreThis is a two-part review... Part 1: Recently I had the electrical system of my house brought up to code including adding a surge protector to the house.. The Happy Outlet was referred to me by a trusted friend. The first task was to upgrade the panel on the side of the house. Serviceman, Cade, was assigned that task. It took much of the day to do the job and as I monitored the progress I was impressed with the quality of work. In the end, all of the breakers were clearly labeled and when the job was complete and all was cleaned up, Cade instructed me on what to do if one of the breakers tripped. Last night we had a power outage and I discovered a section of the house without power. This morning I was able to go to the box and recognize which breaker needed to be reset. I followed the instructions Cade had given me and now the power to that section is restored. Not bad for a budding octogenarian!!! Needless to say, I give my experience with The Happy Outlet and Cade an A+++!!! Thank you!!!
Part 2: A couple of weeks after replacing the electrical panel on my house the team, Cade and Jacob, returned to replace all outlets and switches and install wired smoke detectors which brought the house up to 2023 code. This job took a little under two days. They worked methodically through each room, working together to move furniture when needed. After the installation, the furniture was moved back into place. In the afternoon, Kenneth joined them to work on the garage and outside of the house. There was an outside outlet that had not worked for years and they discovered a hidden GFI outlet inside the garage that proved to be the culprit. We decided to cap that one off and now the outside outlet is operational. The next day was the installation of the wired smoke detectors. There were a couple of pictures that had to be relocated to accommodate the location of a detector. Cade graciously rehung the pictures in their new locations. Since the completion of the jobs, I have had several questions and Cade has kindly returned my calls with answers. Again, I give my experience with The Happy Outlet electricians and office staff an A+++!!! Thank you!!!
Part 3. Today (8/21/24) was the annual inspection / check. The electricians were courteous, thorough and efficient. Thank you Happy Outlet for continued good...
Read moreI initially called Happy Outlet because of all the 5-star reviews posted here. However, I neglected to check the 1-star reviews before scheduling an appointment with them. It took several calls and a few scheduling changes before they were able to come out to move my cable line to a new location. They did inform me that there was an $89.00 visit call on the first appointment and I agreed to pay this. This charge was for an electrical evaluation for the entire home and enabled them to locate minor thing around my home to upsell me on the service.
After the initial inspection, I was told that I would need to schedule a second visit for the work to be completed. The service technicians arrived on time and proceeded to complete the work. Once completed, I connected the cable and modem to the new line myself to test it because they didn't offer to do that as part of the job. The internet did work at that time, and they left satisfied that the job was completed.
But, only a few moments later my internet stopped working! I called the office and asked if they could return to correct the problem and was told to restart my modem or call my internet provider. I contacted my provider and had to schedule an appointment with them 2 days later with a service call of $65.00. The service tech from my provider arrives at my home and verified that the connections, installed by Happy Outlet were the incorrect ones for the cable connection. He quickly repaired the work of the electricians, and my internet was restored. So, after 3 days and 3 service calls from 2 different companies, my repair was complete. My bill from Happy Outlet, after upselling me to install a GFCI in my laundry room and relabeling my breaker box, was over $1000.00. The original job I asked them to do was done completely wrong and had to be redone. I called to let them know what the outcome was and was offered a refund of the $65.00 service call from my internet provider.
I understand charging a service fee if you decline to have work completed after receiving a quote, but not for showing up at an appointment unprepared to do the work that was requested in the first place. This company is expensive and not worth the risk of poorly...
