Z Bistro — Restaurant in Carson City

Thank you Chef Brandon for such a beautiful dining experience! The level of artistry that you put in to each plate was exceptional. You can tell you carefully curate everything on your menu, I only wish I lived closer to try more. I’ve had the privilege in my life to eat at some of the best restaurants in the world. I’m originally from Carson and have not lived here for many years but visit family here from time to time. I’ve never had a dining experience like this any where else in the Carson Reno Tahoe area. If you are considering dining here, jump on the phone and make a reservation right away. Alec was our server tonight and he was so personable, knowledgeable and flawlessly took care of all of his tables with the biggest smile. Carson City is lucky to have gained such an amazing chef who creates magic in his kitchen every night! I will be back for sure!

Pear and Gorgonzola raviolis Seared Salmon Mushroom Bisque Crème Brûlée Vanilla ice cream with rum infused...

we had a very nice first experienced in this place, even started to recommend it to friends if they happen to be in Carson and looking for a place to eat, we went back again because of that experienced, this time we were told to wait for 10 mins, we did wait in our car for more than 10 mins to give her enough time to set the table, after 10 mins we come in, no acknowledgement, 2 vacant tables, a couple tables looking at us, we stand at the door and wait, after a few mins she told us to give her a few mins we said ok, she continued doing her thing, didn’t let us sit at least, we were standing at the doorway for more than 10 mins. After a few more minutes of waiting we left, It was very awkward standing on the doorway when everybody is sitting, We understand she is alone and busy but at least acknowledged your costumers and sit them, don’t make your customer feel they’re inconveniencing you, make them feel welcome-that is...

Our second time here. First time was very good, this time we walked in and we’re told to wait for a table, 10 minutes. No worries, two empty tables and one outside, just needs to be cleaned and set, we’ll wait.

Come back after 10 minutes and wait, and wait, standing at the entrance, two tables still empty. No offers to sit, no apology, just “oh, you’re going to have to give me a minute” (Um, we’ve given you 10 minutes). But, no worries, we’ll wait.

Another 5 minutes standing and now tables are looking at us, waitress is clearly busy, no one assists us. After another 5 minutes it becomes uncomfortable, we left and went to Fox Brewpub instead…there we were at least welcomed and not made to feel like we inconvenienced the waitstaff.

Two stars for the 4-star first experience and 0-star...
