Our first try at about 5 PM on a Friday. I ordered take-out upon arriving in person and planned on waiting. Ordered a shrimp basket and a chicken strip basket. Asked for tartar sauce with the shrimp basket. The young lady who took my order was pleasant and helpful, but told me it would take 15-minutes. Kind of long for a restaurant that only had a few customers and maybe six at the bar. I walked over to the bar and stood where you normally stand to place an drink order. Stood there about 4 minutes and was not acknowledged in any way by the two staff who were behind the bar. Finally I spoke to one of the bar staff, "a Sprite or 7-up please." The lady who I addressed did not reply to me or make eye contact, but simply said something to the person at the hostess stand across the restaurant, who then came to inform me I would need to order a drink at the front. I was charged $3.79 for the drink which was Sierra Mist or something (not 7-up or Sprite). An aside, this drink had a off taste, like plastic or something. I let the hostess, know and she apolegised and offered to replace my drink. After the majority of 15-minutes, someone brought me my order. I should have checked the order before I left, but my wife was waiting in our car. Upon getting home the first thing I noticed was a total absence of tartar sauce. I had ordered sweet potato fries and these were floppy and not crisp. The chicken strips were consistent with the sweet potato fries, barely done and actually not cooked in spots. I know better than eating undercooked chicken! My wife offered some of her fried shrimp, another unpleasant surprise, as the not crisp batter coated precooked shrimp (steamed like bought in a grocery store). Okay I recognize the issue with our order - simply the fryer oil temperature was too low, or there were too many items in the fryer. Either way, there appears to be a lack of quality checks before an order is delivered to a customer. My bad for not checking the order. I hope they can improve things, but it will be a while before I give the Crab...
Read moreDon’t listen to all these good reviews me and my fiancé went here with reservation at 7:45. Got seated quickly but once seated we set for 15 min before I had to get someone’s attention that we needed help. She was nice and seemed like she was going to rebound and things would be smooth from this point. Man was that far from what was going to happen. After waiting the 15 ‘minutes it took another 20 minutes to get drinks. We even got the appetizer before the drinks lol I order a seafood boil which was DELICIOUS and the best part of the visit. My fiancee ordered the chicken strips which she never got. I got my food and was literally almost done eating my whole boil which takes a while to eat a boil like that. Then they bring us a catfish basket after waiting 45 min for this we just tell the waitress to cancel the chicken strips. Instead of trying to make this right and seeing what she can do knowing that this has been a horrible visit thus far. Get this As all this is going on I notice another guest looking and wondering who’s supposed to be helping them and then they eventually leave after about 20/30 min. (Which is what we probably should have done) We order a couple more drinks then ask for the tab. Receiving the tab was the fastest service of the night. She even picked up the signed receipt before we even left which usually doesn’t happen at restaurants. Then as we get up to leave I see the waitress that was “serving us”, I believe the manager and 2 other employees just chilling sitting down in waiting area like their guest are just being taken care of. First impression are everything and I’ll not be returning and I suggest yall think twice before spending money on seafood for bad service like this. Believe me I wouldn’t waist my time typing All this for this if my visit wasn’t half as...
Read moreThey serve a decent product here. If you’re in the mood for some seafood that gets the job done. Their seasoning choices are good. The catfish was 8/10. Great authentic catfish taste. Their batter choice was questionable. The chicken tenders were good and hand battered. Their fries were natural cut on this visit and well seasoned.
I deducted One point for service because I was seated, and I was not visited by a server however, every time that I did ask for something from any random employee, they were very attentive and willing to give me whatever I asked for without hesitation or giving any smug looks.
I did get the two points for the atmosphere because I asked to be seated in the back dining area and was navigated towards the middle area somewhere that a person like me does not gravitate towards. I also deducted another point because of the inability to separate the noise from casual dining. They have an open bar yet if you are trying to die in and enjoy your meal, you have to be subjected to the loudness of the customers who are enjoying themselves a bit too much. The music is loud, but as I stated they have an open bar, but they should also isolate people that do not want that sort of environment to a separate area where they can enjoy their meal.
I spoke with the young man, the manager, and he is very nice. Overall, I enjoyed myself. I give the restaurant at 8.5 out of 10 experience. If they work on their hospitality And their service consistency they could be at nine out of...
