My family and I went to Galleria Mall Cinemas on July 20 to watch Annabelle. My nephew and cousins watched Toy Story 4. Their movie finished before ours and they were waiting in the lobby on the steps. The general manager approached them in an unprofessional manner to go outside. He was yelling at the boys and it made them upset because he singled them out. The boys stated that he was not approaching the other teens that were sitting in the lobby. The general manager did not listen to them when they told him they were waiting on their parents. He threaten to get the sheriff even after the boys told him they were waiting on their parents. When I finished my movie the boys told me what happened and I asked to speak with the manager. The general manager told his side of the story. He also told us that its GTC policy for teens to wait outside for their parents. He told us that it is stated on the website. I looked on the website and it does not state that teens are not allowed to sit in the lobby to wait on parents. I asked him to show me the GTC policy and he said he doesnât have it but thatâs their requirement. This shows he lied and my nephew and cousins should have been allowed to sit in the lobby. I was still in the movie so there was nothing wrong with them waiting inside the lobby. There are no signs posted stating that teens are not allowed to sit inside the lobby anywhere in the theater. It also does not say it on the phone answering service recording. This was very disrespectful and shows a lack of customer service. If I have paid money to watch a movie it should be common courtesy to let a teen wait inside to wait on their parents who are watching a movie in the same theater. When you kick teens out of the lobby it is unsafe, so sitting and waiting for their parents in the same theater should not be an issue. My nephew and cousins are very distraught about the situation and feel like they were attacked and were villains just for sitting. We will never return to Galleria Mall again. We will go to Houston Lake Cinemas where they treat their customers...
Read moreThe movie was too low to hear. Came out at 30 minutes into the movie. The manager left to "go upstairs," to get a listening device. He was gone over 30 minutes. When he returned he said he had tried 5 and he was heading down to the theatre to see if any worked. After waiting for him to come back he said nope none worked. I understand the movie isn't responsible for me hearing, but I always use a device at tye movies. I asked him for a icee for ,my daughter who was sitting alone all this time. He refused saying I owed him 8 for the cup. Each cup has to be calculated on a sheet and accounted for. I said you never "comp" anyone a cup for any reason? Oh no never was his answer. What if the cup was leaking? Just have to take it? Yep. Totally unreasonable. I then asked for a refund because I couldn't stay in the theater without hearing. The movie was "the wedding banquet." Low Asian voices. Never offered to TURN UP THE MOVIE, didn't come into his head. I drive 25 miles to attend this theatre to see things here. They offer things not widely offered in Macon my town where I live. I am deeply disappointed. I am 66 years old and never get offered a senior discount and he was not cordial. There is a woman who is elderly there with bunny ears on today. I told them the lights were on as well, she said she would check on it. I told her the name of the movie. She came back and said all the lights are off. It was the wrong movie. This happened while I was waiting on hearing devices. I said that is not the movie we are in and she snipped well I didn't hear the name. She went back and said well they appear off. Which of course the manager heard about when he went "upstairs." Nevertheless, I left the theater, I had missed almost 46 minutes of the movie, the plot and other important parts. I love this theatre because of the diversity. (Sorry for the bad word.) This was not...
