Gilpin County Arts Association — Attraction in Central City

Located in the heart of Central City, CO. This quaint little town is just the place to for a quick day trip. Tucked away in the mountains about an hour outside of Denver. The scenic drive through the mountains to get here was probably my favorite part of the trip! The city itself is small but with lots of rustic charm. You can take a free shuttle from Black Hawk or walk the 1.5 miles up to Central City. Spent couple hours walking around. The Gilpin County Arts Association was by far my favorite place we visited. We took a tour with Emma of the Thomas House. Emma was a wonderful storyteller and entertained us with a wealth of knowledge about local history. We had an absolutely fabulous time and cannot wait to take the other tours....

Great Gallery in Historic Central City..! Michele works hard and is a big asset to this business and the community. The Arts Scene, Opera, Art Gallery, Museums, Teller House Etc ....make this town and the above a must see...
