Ever since Johnny Z and company scored our friend Prabath from nearby casinos, this casino has sort of snuck up on my wife and I as our preferred go-to casino and restaurant. Not too long ago, on the way up the hill one of us would ask "want to drop by and see Prabath?" Dropping by has become park and stay. It doesn't matter how often I say that I want to play around with machines at other casinos, we don't move. Here's why -
Mr. Z and his management have accomplished an ideal, a standard in guest care to a level that eludes most entertainment, hotel, food and beverage operations that I ever do or have done business with. On the front line, they do it with the hosts. Although Prabath The Host is one of a kind in hospitality, a coup that Mr. Z's management has pulled is to have also found other exceptional hosts like Lienna and Marcus. This corps of hosts consistently meets us, and observably other guests, with an outstanding quality of professionalism as they create a feeling for us of being both valued customers as well as genuine friends of their house, the casino.
We have also noticed evidence that the values and training that are so satisfying in the front of the house have also been cultivated in the back, particularly the kitchen management and restaurant services. At first, we were mostly interested in the generous prime rib or BBQ ribs deal. I have recently been sticking my fork into other parts of the menu and have been more than pleased with each stab. On our last visit, I went with fish and chips. Most often, I am hesitant to go with this somewhat universal dish. Admittedly, I am a bit of a snob with this plate. I find that there are truish replications of the British classic, and then all others. I adjust expectations based on the two categories. The metro Denver standard for the former is, in my book, the GB Fish and Chips (quality is consistent at all of its stores) and it's all but useless to expect this elsewhere. Among the ladder, "all others" category (American fish and chips?), Z casino brings it! It's a nice crunchy crust holding good quality, tender cod without the usual newly defrosted taste and texture found in this category. Matching this with a pint of one of the fresh draft beers and it's quite satisfying for sure!
After a lengthy history of visits and play here, it was the most recent visit that has prompted a review, at last. While playing, our situation changed in ways that we needed some assistance. Our truly lovely host Lianna, attending to guests as proactively as she does, noticed and offered her help as fast as we could ask. It wasn't just what she did to help out but HOW she did it. Consistent with the intelligence, sensitivity and skill of this host team, she has made us feel good about making this our preferred place to have fun and completely forget about work and the often stressful world we are usually wrestling with.
The only thing between me and a fifth star is that I am still looking for a machine(s) to groove with. I don't know what the casino can do about this. I think it's just me or maybe some weird feng shui thing... On another hand, my wife doesn't have my machine discontent here.
To paraphrase Maya Angelou "It's not what you do for people, it's how they make you feel." This place feels...
Read moreDidn't do too bad here. Staff is always rude. And for some reason the other patrons tend to be very rude to others here (at least everytime my wife and i are here) Not sure why really. We are always nice, smile and try to be as polite and as positive as we can with everyone here. Maybe we look too young idk. My wife is 42, i am 36, but we don't look that old.. lol. Anyways whenever i use the promo kiosks it will immediately print out the vouchers regardless of the availability of the rewards. So, for example, several times now i've had promos available for free hotel rooms that will print out immediately from the kiosk. Everytime i go up to redeem them we are there is no rooms available. Even when the place is clearly not crowded at all. So everytime i try to redeem a promo voucher or even any coupon that we receive in the mail, there is no availability so we are S.O.L. and stuck there with no room to go get some rest for a couple hrs, and food coupons that upon printing we find are not available until two hrs after we have to leave the place. So then they expire and we are screwed. It would be nice if they would give a rain check for the vouchers and coupons they pretend to offer but they do not. Sorta "funny" though, the staff will say "sorry nothing available" to redeem a voucher or coupon. Yet within 1 min I can immediately go up to the desk or get on my cell and call from right there in the casino at a machine and reserve us a room (at full price ofcourse) if i just go pay. So its blatantly a scam that also seems to be part of the rude staffs training, so standard procedure. I want rain checks for all of the free nights stays and food vouchers and coupons they aren't able to honor. Otherwise they...
Read moreClub Z is now and will always be my favorite i think.. Never having been a gambler through out the first fifty four and a half years of my life, I find it strange that I had 94,000 points since.my August introduction the Club Z. They certainly do make you want to return. I think it was on my fourth or fifth visit that I walked into the casino just after they opened at 8 am and on my third pull of The Money Machine I hit the jackpot of 10,500.00. Well, naturally.rhat does make.me.lartial.to the ace but other than the enormous amount if money i win there, the staff is genuinely friendly and I do believe the powers that be there have the right idea. They give me two times what the competition does in points and compensations. They are very generous indeed and they are smart becaise I bring all of my surplus income their way amd.the reason indi is becaise I always walk.out with a prime rib dinner a 6.00 cup of Starbucks compliments of the house . None.of.the other casinos do that. They take good care of their patrons at Club Z and the atmosphere is the right combination of real Vegas style gambling but not too loud and obnoxious. It still.has that family owned estsblishment feel to it, which I doubt that it is. Club Z is in my opinion hands down my favorite.place to win money- even...
