Dear Elite Edge Fitness, I do not recommend your facility for several reasons. The primary being the unprofessionalism of the owner. I have documentation of him calling an eight-year-old boy a "parent fail" and inferring things about this child that are incomprehensible and false. The disrespect to families (in particular mothers since he never responded to my husband, nor did he mention him in any of these public statements) as well as his intolerance for young children should make your facility consider not training kids of a certain age. Perhaps you should consider making the minimum age 10-12.
As a mother of four athletic children, we have been training at gyms in Brookhaven for well over a decade and have never had one issue. We have also not had anyone treat us this poorly or rudely.
I cannot speak to the training facility for adults, but as a mother I simply cannot recommend this facility for kids.
For the record, I have only posted one review on Google (this one that has now been edited as you have edited yours) as well as one yelp review. No false accounts have been created- I am a doctor and fitness instructor with four kids and wouldn't stoop to that level nor would I have the time to.

Jason Colleran and Jake Jo provide a balance of intensity and fun in achieving results for both beginner and competitive athlete alike. They take the time to explain technique and its application as well as push you through training sessions you never would expect you could complete.
The facility is awesome - with a full indoor turf field, Jiu Jitsu mats, cross training equipment, TRX, free weights, personal training zones, kickboxing gear, and the "death" treadmills capable of 30 degree inclines...you will never be lacking a challenge.
I have to say as well that you might expect to find such an elite gym intimidating or unfriendly. I know I have experienced that with other lesser gyms in Atlanta. But with Elite Edge, both the trainers and the athletes are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everyone encourages the beginner and pushes the veteran. You can't find a better group of people to train with.
To summarize, if you really want to accomplish your fitness goals, whether at competition sport specific levels or you just want to get cut for the summer, no one surpasses the team...

The community is unmatched. Each member wants to see you succeed and we have created a bond outside the gym as well. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. You are always greeted with a smile when you walk in, and workouts are clearly defined thanks to expert instruction. Any questions you may have about workouts, injuries, goals, etc. can be answered by any trainer on staff. The outside resources available are key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. They promote wellness products such as meal prep and body scans inside their gym in order to support other local businesses.
Elite Edge is hands down the best gym in the Atlanta area.

If you are injured or feel worn down, Mike West is the man. I was recently dealing with minor injuries and I after seeing Mike twice, I know I am on the path to getting strength back. His MAT techniques are top notch and his ability to explain what he is doing and why to his clients is key to helping understand the body and how to heal properly.
