I visited on a Wednesday evening to experience what I read in online reviews. Finding this place does take some concentration, as this eatery lives at the back of an office building. The out-of-the-way spot can certainly be an advantage with quieter surroundings and ample parking especially at non-peak times or after typical office hours. The interior has an interesting L-shaped layout with the longer part of the L housing both a brewery and eatery. My ordering experience was handled by Laura and one of the most personable ones in recent memory. Laura combined a welcoming energy with a knowledge of the menu and helpfulness for a first-time patron that I hope every visitor gets to experience. Food was prepared within ten minutes of finalizing my selections, and I was apprised every few minutes how my ticket was progressing. The service was memorably outstanding.

I settled on a few items to takeaway: a chicken thigh biscuit, a beef-au-week sandwich that looked great in pictures, and a pulled pork platter with potato salad and baked beans. The biscuit has a definitive cheddar flavor that when combined with the well cooked and seasoned chicken and house pickle chips was a great way to start. The beef-au-wreck sandwich was in my mind even better than the delicious biscuit. The meat was well portioned, tender, sliced super thin, and of course well flavored. The caraway seed roll was so the perfect accompaniment for me that I may suggest any other versions use the same bread. The au jus was only slightly salty to be expected. Overall a great sandwich I would totally have again. The pulled pork for some reason struck me as salty to the point where I finished about two-thirds. The texture and color look inviting, so I am going to chalk my assessment to not having a beverage alongside and/or eating two items beforehand that made more salt standout more. Other reviews rave about the pork, so I will defer to them as I want. The baked beans had a classic flavor and feel, while the potato salad had a less usual look and feel that threw me a little. I wanted their strawberry ice cream sandwich, but they had run out and posted a notice as such which I appreciated.

The total bill for my meal came to just over $40, so I feel like patrons can get good value for a far from run-of-the-milk barbecue place. I would be tempted to try their pit beef sandwich which I almost ordered by accident as well as maybe the half smoke on a future occasion. This place will hit the mark for those looking for something somewhat different in a good way with engaging service and a satisfying value for your...

I have had the Smoked Beef Chuck sandwich a few times. So I guess that answers the question: did I like it? Yes, yes, I did! An interesting selection for the menu at a smoked meats place since most push the more expensive brisket. However, I really liked the chuck. It has all the flavor from the smoke-rendered fat and connective tissue you find in a brisket but is more moist and a better taste for my money. The sandwich has a good size helping of meat. So much so that my companion could not complete their sandwich and had to take some home. The website has recently improved to give more information about who they are and what they serve. But because they are a small operation, they have lots of different rules about online ordering and ordering for carryout. So, take a look at what those are before you start to do anything online. They do not take phone orders. The menu is pretty simple and easy to read standing at the counter to make your order. I have done the counter order every time I've been there, which seems a little bit easier than figuring out the rules. Orders are produced upon ordering and served up fairly quickly by friendly staff. (It has never been too busy when I have been there, even at lunchtime.) A pager lets you know when your order is ready to pick up at the window. Odd BBQ offers several sauces on the side so you can mix and match them to come up with your favorite sauce flavor, but try it with no sauce first to get the good smoke flavor and the true flavor of the beef. I think you'll appreciate it before adding a bunch of extra flavor to it. An order of fries was pretty large and the fries were good. The BBQ baked beans were very good! They are co-located with a (self-service brewery so you can purchase beer or sodas from the counter next to the Odd BBQ window. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating available. The decor is fitting for a brewery/BBQ place - nothing fancy. If you are up for a unique smoked meat experience, Odd BBQ is worth a try. Google Maps will take you there, but pay attention, they are in the back corner of an office park. There is ample parking...

I stopped for lunch and got there right as it opened. I ordered the 2lb family meal with sides of Mac and cheese, baked beans, and I got an extra side of the ginger slaw. Ribs were the best I have had in Virginia. Fall off the bone tender, just the right amount of smoke, and well seasoned. The chicken was really good as well. It had a slight bite from the black pepper, which I loved, but my kids found a bit too spicy. I just rinsed it off, but some BBQ sauce on it and they devoured it. Beans were solid, not amazing, but I would gladly order them again. The ginger slaw was a little too gingery for me, but my wife enjoyed it. Cheese biscuits were good. I added so butter, as I am unhealthy like that, and they were even better. I ate 2. Finally the spicy pork belly, the main reason I wanted to try this place, it was my least favorite. The belly was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth tender, I just didn't care for the seasoning. If you like kimchi, which I don't, then you may love it. I still ate it, I just had to rinse off the sauce it was in and used their other sauces on it. Overall, if you are a BBQ fan and want really well prepared meats with a slightly different flavor profile OddBBQ is a must try. It shares the place with a pay by the ounce self-serve brewery. I wasn't down for a liquid lunch but it looked good and the place had a great laid back atmosphere. I will definitely be back to sample the beers and eat some more delicious food. If you get nothing else get the ribs, chicken, and Mac and cheese. Your waist line may regret it but your taste buds will not. Fast and friendly service was a plus as well. Keep up the good work and you will be seeing my family and...

TLDR: Great BBQ and brews in a chill setting. Be prepared for a bit of a wait during lunch rush, but the food comes out quicker than expected. Awesome Friday lunch spot with a unique pour- your own beer tap system. Odd BBQ and Ono Brewing in Chantilly make for a killer combo. They share the same space, and the partnership works perfectly vs the typical brewery and rotating food trucks in my opinion. Our group of 7 rolled in for a Friday lunch and were surprised to see the place already packed by 11am. Ono uses a self-serve tap system where you pay by the ounce, which is a fun and flexible way to sample multiple beers without the commitment of a full pint. As for the BBQ, it was solid across the board. We were told upfront that it could take up to an hour to get our food due to the rush, but thankfully it only took about 20 minutes, under promise over deliver! I went with the smoked pork belly platter, which came with furikake rice and two sides, house-made kimchi and sesame slaw. Everything slapped taste wise, plus with generous portions for $20 I was beyond satisfied. By the end of the meal, it was clear why this place is a local favorite right when the doors open. Odd BBQ + Ono Brewing is the perfect TGIF lunch destination ie. casual, tasty, and just the right kind of buzz to start the weekend off right.

Inside Ono Brewery, provides a unique opportunity to open a beer tab and enjoy with your food. But, this review is strictly about Odd BBQ. They were out of brisket and pork spare ribs, due to a large event earlier in the day, so we'll be going back to try those. But, what we did try we enjoyed. The Korean Cuban sandwich was interesting. The kimchi lent a slight sourness to the saltiness of the ham and the smokiness of the chopped pork BBQ. They have an array of sauces to have on the side, many of which complimented this sandwich nicely. Nothing about the sandwich was overly memorable, but it is worth a try. The smoked chicken thigh was our favorite. It was perfectly tender, moist, and imparted with the most fantastic smoke flavor. Along with the aforementioned sauces, the chicken was really a delight. I'd recommend the Alabama sauce or spicy Hawaiian sauce, but try them all. The sides were quite good. I love mac and cheese with BBQ and was disappointed to see they don't serve it. But, their baked beans, ginger sesame slaw, and cheesy biscuits were are delicious and complimented the BBQ well. The cornbread was tasty, but a little dry. Overall, a great experience.
