There is no reason to insist on cop knocking on the dressing room door two times after I l clearly said in English that someone is in there both times regardless of whatever the situation was. I let someone know upfront at the buy back counter that it was rude and normally I feel safein the store. He apologized but I felt it was necessary to bring it to the attention of someone else who works in the store.
Did she expect me to come out naked because other people were in line? That distasteful gesture was insanely rude and deliberate.
I told a girl waiting for a dressing room that I was also in line which I was there moments before she walked by the clothing cart, while several of us were waiting for someone to come back there, and since I was the next one up to go into one of the dressing room, I counted how many items I needed to take with me and the card that is normally placed on the door with the correct amount of items, I had taken into the dressing room. I was in line too, and there was nobody else there for a few minutes while the line kept growing.
Some of these people need to be re-taught a lesson about privacy and how how to properly respect others, and I made sure to let the attendant who rudely knocked know that itâs called âprivacyâ and she acted like she was completely and utterly clueless as to what that meant after her actions.
Iâm creeped out that my experience there today was violating. She canât blame a person for defending themselves by my stating,âitâs called privacyâ; however everyone trying on items has a right to discretion at all times.
Itâs been one of my favorite places to come in the triangle but the aggressive knock and persistence I donât need. No one does.
What people need is privacy and a sense of safety being a business that advocates all are welcome and thatâs too bad because I really...
Read moreI'd say they're polite but not friendly. It was a bit off since we got there. We got there at 6 and shopped until close at 7 for my daughter's birthday. Once we started getting comfortable sorting through the clothes 5 minutes later a girl says the fitting room is closed for the day looking straight at us. Im thinking wow we still have an hour. But we kept shopping because my daughter really wanted to go there and shop for trendy vintage style clothing. Fast forward its the following Monday with 15 minutes left in the day I call and say hey we forgot to come in by today and get store credit because she can't fit 2 pairs of the pants, can we come in tomorrow. She says well unfortunately we can't because you had a chance to try them on before you left. I tried to explain to her that we we didn't, so she says well maybe you can just sell them back to us. She had the snobiest responses. Honestly I should have known because I made a pit stop there a few days earlier and an employee kept rolling her eyes at me, didn't speak at all until I started asking questions, saying how ill probably be there in a few days to shop because my daughter wants to come and I wanted to be sure I had parking figured out before hand. My sister felt so uncomfortable that she had to leave. I stayed because it wasnt about me. Spent almost 200 and couldn't get 25 store credit, fine but like I said, polite just far from a friendly...
Read moreI go thrifting a fair amount, especially now because I have a tight spending budget. Iâve been to Rumors twice and both times Iâve been less than impressed- mostly because I donât consider Rumors a true thrift store. The primary reason for this is their prices. Their prices are comparable if not the exact amount (especially for some items, such as their t shirts) to the original price of the item. Some items I felt were significantly marked down (like jeans) but mostly I just felt that it was too much money to spend at a thrift store. If you want something thats somewhat marked down but not really a thrift store (in terms of prices) this is your place. They do have good quality items but thatâs true of most thrift stores. Thrifting is something thatâs supposed to be open to everyone, especially people who donât have excess money to be spending but that's not really true of Rumors. If you have the money to be spending on higher quality items, please do that. Second hand clothing is more economically friendly but this is too expensive and itâs pretty much gentrifying thrifting- which is a huge problem. I donât want to hurt a small business but I also donât want to not speak up abt what thing I consider to be a...
