The dog park here could use several improvements. It's a start, but still has a long ways to go. Mainly, the park has no water for the small dogs, so you have to bring your own or a bowl to fill from the large dog area. Not sure why someone would create two separate areas for small and large dogs, but think that only large dogs need water. Second, there are no trash cans in the small dog area. Once again, small dogs are similar large dogs, they poop too. It would be nice to be able to throw away the poop without having to go to the large dog area for a trash can. Third, there is no grass in the small dog area. I've never been to a dog park that doesn't have grass. My dog is always a muddy mess after leaving because the park is just dirt/mud and gravel. There's not even a place to hose him down. Lastly, there is nothing for shade until late afternoon from the highway. This place could really use a few trees or a sun shade of some sort. Besides that, it's a large fenced in area acceptable for short...

Dog park needs some serious improvements. The water fountain has had a busted pipe under it around it in it whatever for at least a year now. At one time last year the water was turned off completely, now that its turned back on it's a muddy mess 24/7. It has completely killed what grassy patch was there. Needs some shade there is the one bench under the tree at the back of the park and thats it. Also a bathroom for humans would be a good thing as well. Love bringing my dog here but I'll find another park until this one is improved. You would think on and island that has one of the strictest HOA's around the parks would be better...

Beautiful little park located right off the highway. The park itself was great with some nice walking trails and facilities. The soccer and softball fields were very well maintained, and there was a surprising amount of walking trails for seemingly a small park. The dog park nearby was decently busy when we were there and is just large enough for your dog to run around with you being able to see them the whole time. For being near the highway, the noise from cars was not...

This park is spectacular! On beautiful Daniel Island. Plenty of free parking with lots of shade. Almost the entire trail is shaded. Wonderful beauty all around. We were blessed with an 80 degree November day, no humidity, and perfect cyan skies! Was a brilliant day to forest bathe. Lots of space to wander and friendly folks out and about. Dogs are welcome. Easy to bike ride the trail as well. A new family fave!
