About 10 months ago, I began to have some pain in my knee (after some long periods of intense running). While it was not a pain that kept me from being active and running, it was consistent and just would not go away. I went to a physical therapist, and they advised a series of stretches and exercises. I followed the physical therapist's advice, and while the stretches were helpful they never really made the pain go away. I had heard about Red Light Therapy, and even had some limited experience with it in the past, but I had never really done a Red Light Therapy program consistently. When I saw that Beem had opened near me, I decided to give it a try. I have signed up for the unlimited package -- I do the 15 minute Red Light Therapy about 5 times a week - and have been doing Red Light Therapy for about 6 weeks. While I do not have any "proof" that Red Light Therapy is the "cure", what I can say is that after I began doing Red Light Therapy consistently the pain in my knee is GONE! I believe Red Light Therapy is what made the difference - my knee pain is gone, there is less tightness in my leg muscles, and my overall energy level is higher. Separate and apart from the benefits that I have seen in the last few weeks, the process at Beem is great - there is an app that makes scheduling so easy! I would encourage anyone to look at the benefits of Red Light Therapy and...
Read moreI was visiting the area and wanted to book a infrared sauna session. When I called to book and appointment and about their services the person that answered phone totally ignored that I said I had done infrared sessions before but new to the area. The person preceded to describe the way infrared saunas work. I should have taken this as a sign that the person was not competent at the job of customer service for Beem. I asked to book an appointment for the same day that I called and they informed me that at 2:30 appointment was available for a 40 minute infrared session. I once again told the person I was new to the area and asked about parking. Some direction was given. When I arrived at the Railway parking garage suggested for parking for Beem there was a Uhaul truck blocking the entrance of the parking garage causing traffic to park. I arrived at Beem at 2:40 but called ahead to inform them of the delay. I was then informed that they would be closing soon and if I get the session it would be cut to maybe 30 minutes. My whole afternoon was ruined and they should have told me they closed at 3pm and that taking a 2:30 appointment would mean I could not get the 40 minute infrared session. I went home very upset and decided to call another spa in the...
Read moreMy fiancé and I both became a founding member (8 sessions/month for $99) when Beem first opened in South End. After the first two months of our membership we realized we didn’t need as many sessions. During the original sign-up we were offered a package where we could split the 8 sessions/month for $140. We had every intention of staying members but when I called to downgrade our memberships to the “sharing” package, I was simply told no. I wasn’t offered an explanation or an alternate option. The girl I spoke with (who put me on hold after every question I had - assuming to phone her manager), was very short with me, unhelpful, and quick to facilitate terminations of both of our memberships. It’s unfortunate because we live right around the corner from Beem and wanted to continue going there. I would recommend they invest in training their staff & offering more flexible memberships. Also, the facility is BEAUTIFUL. I would make one modification and move the cashwrap to either side of the entrance area to mitigate congestion when customers are signing in/waiting...
