I booked this hotel last minute for a bachelorette weekend after our airbnb got cancelled last minute! I have to say I am extremely pleased with everything! A few things I loved about the hotel: The rooms were HUGE! We filled each of our 3 rooms with 3-4 people and each room had ample amount of space! Cleanliness! All 3 of our rooms were spotless!!! Every single person I encountered that worked there from front desk, maintenance, breakfast crew, to housekeeping, was phenomenal! The front desk workers were literally the nicest people I have ever encountered at a hotel! I have to acknowledge the manager that was working this weekend during our stay. I do not remember what her name was but she was just absolutely amazing. Constantly moving and making sure everything was in order all while keeping a smile on her face! Breakfast was VERY good and there were plenty of options! The pool area was exactly what we were looking for so nice and relaxing and very well kept! 6.Safety: I felt extremely safe at this hotel. You have to swipe your key before you get to the room levels! There was a slight problem with one of our room doors, (It was shutting and locking, it was just getting stuck and had to be pulled a little harder when opening) which we didnt even notice and there was a maintenance worker on it asap and got it fixed! Location! We were so close to everything! Only a block or two from the LigthRail which was extremely convenient! CVS, Starbucks, and Whole Foods on the same building and block! The beds, even the pullout, were very comfortable.
I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. If you have never stayed there before my advice for unloading and parking would be; if you have another person with you, I would unload at the loading zone, have someone stand there with your belongings, go park in the parking garage right next to the hotel and come back and check in. I would ask them to thoroughly explain the parking payments to avoid any misunderstanding. Its actually very simple I just don't think that some people that had difficulty with it was in complete understanding of how it worked! I Highly recommend this hotel!!!

Read moreHorrible hospitality, I was honestly surprised at the 3 star rating of the hotel, because it feels like a one star hostel based on the front desk service. Asked for directions to the laundry, found out it's coin operated machines, for 2.50 per cycle, which is outrageous even for a laundry mat. Went to the front desk because I don't carry cash, let alone 20 quarters and they said they have quarters so I asked if I could just charge it to the room. They said no, so I asked if there was an atm nearby, they directed me to that. I went outside to find it locked. And not being a customer of that bank figured I couldn't use that atm, I go back inside. The front desk tells me you need to swipe to get into it, well I have a different bank so I didn't think to try it. I go back out and sure enough it works. I get those wonderful atm fees because apparently my bank doesn't exist in this city. I go back up to collect my quarters, then find out they only have enough quarters for one cycle, so I can wash my clothes but not dry them. Huh. how useful. No problem, I remember I had 4 quarters in my car. I just need to have the front desk call the extremely overpriced valet to bring my car down so I can collect my 4 quarters and have them re-park it instead of walking into the garage myself to get it, hence using up my gas for no reason. I get my 4 quarters and start the wash. I go out to grab a quick bite. Come back to throw my clothes in the dryer and notice a sign that says, clothes left here will be brought to the front desk, so I figure I might as well ask if they can collect my clothes when they are done, he politely points out that such a simple task would be impossible because they might misplace some of my clothes so I ask if I can leave it there overnight. He says well someone might take it. So I say fine, I'm sure it will be alright because I'm exhausted and want to call it a night. Side note, the man who helped me out my first night was very helpful finding me a room at a good rate. But overall, I feel like this is a poor example of a...
Read moreRooms are fine; breakfast above average. The problem is the parking garage and the front desk. Although the hotel address is described as 610 S Caldwell St, plugging it into your gps is the beginning of the nightmare. Once I come off interstate 77, I had to make a dangerous U-Turn across a meridian to arrive at "610 S. Caldwell Street," only to discover after illegally parking for several minutes, that the real entrance is around the corner on East Brooklyn VLG Street. As I left the (erroneous) address and tried to "drive around the block" I was thrown back onto I-77 (there was no sign indicating I was going back onto I-77) and had to drive several miles, turn around and begin creeping around the area until I finally saw that there was a parking lot at the St. George (?) Condo entrance next to the hotel. Although there was a small sign directing Home 2 hotel customers to the upper decks, as I entered (and obtained my ticket), I didn't see it and I missed the sharp right turn as you come into the garage, finding myself in Food Matters Parking Lot. Exited, again driving around the block, drove back slowly again--saw the small sign the second time around, finally got parked, checked in and purchased the $35 a day parking pass. I was given a piece of paper that was supposed to let me out of the garage. Raced upstairs to change--already late for my downtown meeting--got into my car and discovered that I couldn't exit . Finally managed to get cars behind me to let me back up and temporarily back. Ran back to the desk and the clerk casually said, "Oh, you have to keep the original ticket as well. Why did no one tell me this, I asked. A shrug. No apology. I ran back upstairs, fished it out of the trash can and finally managed to get to my meeting--30 minutes late. The final straw came when I checked my credit card account today and discovered that I had been billed $76.81 on top of my $200 plus hotel bill and my $35 parking fee.
Enough. On future trips, I'll stay at a Motel 6 before I stay at this...
