Dad's review of the iconic Garth Brooks, the legendary country singer, kicked off his stadium tour at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 2, 2019. It was an unforgettable experience for thousands of fans who gathered to see him perform his greatest hits.
The concert began with a spectacular light show and fireworks display that illuminated the stadium. The energy in the air was electric as Garth appeared on stage, wearing his signature black cowboy hat and a huge smile. He opened the show with his classic hit "All-American Kid," which was met with thunderous applause from the audience.
From there, he went on to perform an array of his chart-topping songs, including "Rodeo," "The River," "Friends in Low Places," and "The Dance." The crowd sang along to every word, and Garth's voice was as powerful and soulful as ever.
One of the highlights of the night was when Garth invited his wife, Trisha Yearwood, to join him on stage. Together, they performed a beautiful duet of "In Another's Eyes," which left the audience mesmerized. Trisha also performed a solo set, which included her hits "Wrong Side of Memphis" and "She's in Love With the Boy."
In between songs, Garth engaged with the crowd, sharing stories and jokes that kept everyone entertained. He also took the time to acknowledge members of the military, thanking them for their service and sacrifice.
The production value of the show was top-notch, with stunning visuals and sound that filled the entire stadium. The stage was massive, and Garth made full use of it, running back and forth and interacting with fans in every corner of the venue.
Overall, Garth Brooks' stadium tour at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte was a phenomenal experience. From the opening notes to the final encore, Garth had the audience captivated and singing along. It was a night that fans will never forget and a testament to why Garth Brooks is one of the greatest country artists...
Read moreI saw the Metallica concert here on May 31, and was absolutely appalled by my experience. The merch line was an inefficient mess, and I ended up missing both opening acts waiting for a T-shirt. They had too few employees working, and the ones who were there stopped serving customers repeatedly to unpack boxes and fold shirts, despite the fact that literally hundreds of people were waiting in line and missing the show. The worst part was, once we got to the front, shirts they had on display were sold out with no warning (typically, at shows I've been to in the past, they either pull the display shirt down or tape a sign over it saying "sold out) and then they had the audacity to aggressively push customers to provide a tip, and hovered over the card reader to pressure them.
Entering my section, I also encountered the RUDEST employee, who refused to accept my tickets on my mobile wallet to let me into my section, despite the fact that tickets did not need to be scanned at this point-- they had already been scanned to enter the stadium, so all this employee needed to do was verify that I was headed in the right direction for my assigned seat. Instead, she spoke down to me, told me "y'all need to learn" and forced me to download and sign into the Ticketmaster app to show her the exact same tickets I had saved in Google wallet. She clearly did not understand how Google Wallet worked and was just as rude to two other members of my group who came through with their tickets separately.
Honestly, the employees I encountered at this stadium were some of the most impolite, inefficient people I've ever encountered in customer service roles, to the point that I will severely reconsider attending another event at this...
Read moreBefore I review this establishment - please be aware that I have never attended any NFL games prior to this visit. I have attended many college football games which is my only comparison. We attended the Panthers VS Tampa Bay Buccaneers game due to the tickets being very cheap (record is 2-9 😬 ouch!) and my kids love football so it’s the perfect time to go! I gotta say, I was not impressed. The majority of food appeared to be cafeteria style food that was extremely overpriced and overcooked. 2 plain hotdogs, 1 souvenir cup ($8.99), 2 fries, 1 fried pickle, 1 “double” cheeseburger plain & 1 “double “ cheeseburger with jalapeños & pepper jack cheese came out to $100!!! Insane!! The fries were gross, the burgers were overcooked and dry, they had no flavor and the “spicy” burger had 1 jalapeño in the very middle of the burger 😑 the actual game it’s self was great - Panthers should have won that ballgame 🙃 the entertainment before, during and after the game - I was again disappointed. College games have much better entertainment, even a better atmosphere!! Maybe since they aren’t doing the best this year the fans were just not feeling it…I’m not sure. Seemed as though they were just making up “contest” for the crowd to participate in - example: giving away $1000 gift card to some jewelry store BUT to win you had to get up and dance to single ladies by Beyoncé 🙄 while they point the camera at you to make a joke out of yourself to thousands. They also have “games” - and by games I mean scan a QR code to access said game and see who “ wins. So many people trying to play it never worked for us. All in all I am not impressed. I don’t really have a desire to go back so I think I’ll just stick to my college games....
