Hello Bignon viewers. Please allow me to walk you through my recent horribly sad experience with this company that I have been a loyal customer to since 2016, both me and my daughter. I have invested a great deal of money into this beauty shop since 2016 up to 2021. On my most recent visit to this location that was dated for June the 25th Friday at 4 30pm, I was treated very unfairly by my stylist whose name is Eto. I drove 30 miles after leaving work to attend this appointment by 4:30 p.m. based on an appointment I put in exactly 5 days prior. My appointment was accepted and a confirmation was sent to me recognizing my time and date to be present by this stylist on 06/25/21, Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.. but when I arrived I was told that because the stylist was pregnant and had been at work since 6am she was unable to do my hair. I mind you, Eto ( stylist name) knew what style I wanted and she has been the only person I am seated with every 3 months for the passion twist style requested. She also sits down for the full style that may take up to 3 hours tops. So to be clear, I couldn't quite understand why she would confirm the appointment and have me to drive through rush hour traffic over 28 miles to make it there on time to then turn me away, but this is exactly what happen to me on this very day. So I were forced to contact management about this issue. The two stylists that were there at the time names were Francesca and Eto. When asking for the manager name, they were not fully in compliance. They instead reassured me that I will not be able to speak with this person. Then, as I were on the phone trying to get this issue resolved, due to me having a flight to catch later that night, Eto my supposed stylist exited the back door at 5:05 p.m. and got in her vehicle and pulled off from the shop without saying one word. The time stated online that the shop did not close until 7 p.m.. I could not believe how I could be treated so rudely by this young stylist when she and Francesca are the only two Stylist I've pretty much dealt with since I first started attending back in 2016. I am very thankful to the receptionist over the phone who assisted me by the name of Cameron and informing me that I can travel to the next shop for my style to be met. I have referred many people to this shop located on North Tryon and in the future, I suggest those of you who read this story about my most terrible experience that I had, make a better decision as to where and who you would trust taking your money to do a style for your hair that you put a prior reservation in place for with this particular company. The saddest thing, based on the first part to this story is that I requested to hear from the manager and still have not received one call or voicemail yet since June 25th 2021 and I just arrive back from my flight today dated 7/4/2021 Sunday. I am truly disappointed with the manager, Francesca and Eto based out of the location at 6932 N Tryon St #5A, Charlotte, NC 28213. For the record..since 2016..I spend no less than $150 per hair style for both myself and my daughter. I also never leave without offering a tip! So very disappointing. You support a company and this is the end results. Thank you for taking the time to read about my most recent experience, pain and suffering from...
Read moreSummary: Several members of staff are unprofessional and do not carry themselves in a respectable manner. Recent experience more horrifying than past occurrences.
Experience: I recently set up appointment for child to have hair braided, box braids. Receptionist informed me that I would get $20 discount for providing my own hair. Clarified with rep since hair for box braids does not equal $20, but representative stated I would still receive discount. When I brought my child to have her hair braided, the braider unprofessionally exclaimed that she doesn’t do children’s hair because children do not know how to behave and they cry too much. This statement made me and my child feel very uncomfortable and should have never been said. The braider eventually stated she would braid my child’s hair (as if she had a choice). I then provided the braider with the hair I purchased and mentioned the discount that was communicated to me, the braider stated that I would not receive a discount because the hair is not equivalent to $20. I complied, but what bothered me is that the braider thought she was going to use the hair I supplied, and not give me a discount. I informed the braider that I would not be using the hair that I purchased and would be using the salon supplied hair since I would not be receiving a discount.
Since I have been to this salon several times, each time you pay, you receive a coupon at the bottom of your receipt which states “$5.00 off any style $85 and up.” Upon payment, I asked to receive this discount, the braider abruptly threw her hands in the air, started speaking in French, and told me I needed to speak with the manager b/c I was attempting to get too many discounts. I tried to reiterate several times that I hadn’t received any discount and the focal point the braider attempted to make is that the child was already receiving a discount. A child’s hairstyle is $20 off an adult’s price. I tried to communicate that this is not a discount because a child will not pay the same price as an adult because less time and effort is put into a child’s hairstyle. Overall, my child's hair looks nice, but the style is not worth the attitude/frustration I had to put up with. My $5 discount was not honored, the staff is extremely unprofessional, and the business is money hungry. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON AGAIN, I have gotten better service...
Read more(SOUTH TRYON LOCATION) Unprofessional and rude. By far the worst customer service I have ever received. If you are explaining something to them about what you don't like or what needs to be fixed, be ready to hear teeth smacking, side conversations about YOU in their language, eye rolls, and rude facial expressions. They're lazy and don't like to do hair, which defeats the purpose of owning a salon. If you come in for a style, namely Senegalese twists (I've come to learn they hate doing that style), they will ask their braiders in front of YOU, who wants to do your hair. And if they don't want to, they will rudely say no, and besides that it'll show all over their faces. They dont greet you when you first walk in or when you leave. The salon is always EMPTY (5-8 people, sometimes including you) however their demeanor is so unattractive, you would think they have worked overnight. They hold conversations on the phone with people and will laugh out loud all in your ear, in their language. Either about you or someone else; wether you can speak it or not, its not hard to make out what they are saying. As if having your scalp snatched out for hours on end isn't enough. They will stop on your hair abruptly, and come back with they choose. They offer absolutely no complimentary water or snacks. Dont expect to receive it. Did I mention they dont like to do hair? Once you sit down in their chair they walk over to you like they're dreading the entire moment. They dont introduce themselves and they only talk to each other. Oh, and dont be fooled by their "we will fix it" policy. If you come in because your hair has either unraveled out of the style or has completely come out, they'll fix what they choose. And if they feel like they have to do too much, they will charge you. Mind you, within a two week period from the time you got your hair done, any fixes are supposed to be "free". One last thing, if you are a person who wishes to have some baby hairs left out around the front and nape areas of your head, they will catch an attitude about that as well. My hair came out nice, not going to lie. I got Senegalese twists, that were waist length which came out to $215. However this was the worst experience going to their salon and I will NOT be returning. Save your money ladies, its...
