Food Lion — Attraction in Charlotte

This location has a super friendly staff and is very neighborhood oriented. Most there will always stop what they’re doing to take you straight to whatever you’re looking for rather than just pointing and giving you an aisle number. That tells me they care and that matters these days. Store’s always clean though due to its smaller size they don’t have shelf space for every single product like the big FL’s do but mgrs go out of their way to accomodate requests. My only gripe at the store is the horrendous giant yellow cement bases surrounding the light poles in the parking lot. They are larger than necessary, unfortunately placed and have done more than their share of damage to the paint jobs on bumpers, car doors etc. A strip of padding, foam, (hell, 2 pool noodles if diced cld make dozens of protective disks, 4 per base, that glue on as ‘bumper stops’)!! It’s a SIMPLE, UNDER $20, QUICKFIX. Didn’t mean to write this much but it’s a great store that’s served me well...

I must say this food lion customer service is horrible nobody greets customers nobody ask if you need help the meat guy pulling up his pants underwear showing ear pods in he couldn’t hear me if I did need help and the whole front end needs to be replaced you always have to wait when there should be someone there at all times then everybody is rude and has an attitude you got 5 front end people clocked in but it’s only 2 registers open and again nobody at customer service ,workers smoking right by the entrance I work in retail so I know shifts change draws have to be counted but it’s horrible and I stop by here often because my wife works in Matthews but you all really need to consider retraining your staff on customer service excellence or replace them with u scan machines the only cashier that made eye contact and spoke to me and greeted other customers was Nya Food Lion has really lost its core values yea the prices are decent but the customer service...

I went shopping here a few months ago. Didn't feel safe in the parking lot after dark, when I was unpacking my groceries a couple started getting in a borderline violent dispute because the man parked his car too close to mine where their kids couldn't get out and was refusing to move his car like she was asking. They were out of the car screaming at each other so I left ASAP. Also when I was checking out my cashier got upset a coworker was harassing her at her checkout line and saying rude things to her and she was there hours past when she was supposed to have gone home. She quit and walked out of her job after she finished checking my groceries out because this coworker was standing behind me in line to buy a drink and wouldn't leave her alone. Very stressful shopping experience and their inventory was low. Definitely won't...
