My friend and I performed at this center for a childrens arts festival in august of 2022. I was 14 at the time and they were 13. We were hired by Morgan Miles and both drove an hour from home to perform for this event. It was clarified that we both WOULD in fact be getting paid for our THREE HOUR performance. Afterwards it was revealed to us that we actually would be paid in visa gift cards. Neither of us had much experience at the time and did not realize that this was not standard by any means. She told us that she "mailed the giftcards out" but never got ethier of our addresses. When asked further about the matter neither of us ever got a response Ive attached photos of us performing at the center and of our messages. I crossed out my friends name and face for their privacy. IF YOU TRULY SUPPORT YOUNG LOCAL ARTISTS DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CENTER. WE WERE BOTH UNPAID FOR MORE THEN 3 HOURS OF WORK.

He also assured us that the people who had originally mislead us were no longer working at the center. Beacuse of these actions my opinion on the McColl center has changed drastically as James has also assured us both that the McColl center strives to support artists...

Finally there are good people that are passionate about the Center and the people who walk through the doors giving life to the building, happy voices echoing from the battered brick walls that have touched and been touched by so many!
There is a genuine warmth, a welcoming, a belonging for every person that walks through the doors.
How long until you...
Read moreWe just had our wedding reception here and it was absolute perfect!! The space was beautiful, the staff amazingly helpful, and the event carefree. We used the main gallery and they let our guests explore the art in the balconies as well. They were also very helpful coordinating our other vendors. They also let us use their tables and chairs, so we only had to rent linens! On the day of, they went above and beyond to help us and make sure everything went smoothly. I cannot believe how hospitable and helpful they were from the very beginning! My wedding planner said she’d never worked with a venue before that was this supportive and accommodating. If you need a gorgeous, creative space to do your wedding in at a shockingly affordable price,...
