My friend scheduled an appointment for the two of us with this business on Saturday April 29th. We show up today and are told the appointment was never made and that a "new girl" was the person my friend spoke to directly and that is why the appointment may have not been actually scheduled. So basically whoever we talked to didn't schedule it and that is on True REST, not us. Andy was the associate who we were speaking to this evening. We asked for a manager, she said there wasn't one. We asked for the name of the employee who we spoke to on the phone so we could call customer service with the information and she said she couldn't disclose that information. She claims a call was made at 7:40 PM on 4/29 about the appointment which makes no sense as at 6:29, just an hour before, the appointment was confirmed. She claimed we were late to the appointment, which was at 7:45, we were there at 7:20 and was delayed checking in because Andy was assisting a customer who talked for 10-15+ minutes about non business related topics. Andy did offer to either let us go on for a shorter period of time or reschedule, but we had literally driven 45 minutes to go to our scheduled appointmen, and I was not ok with shortening our time when we paid for a full hour. We also did not want to go into a float spa with high stress as that could negatively affect the experience. Even asking us to do that was asinine. Andy was less than helpful, and did nothing of value to diffuse or help the situation. She didn't check for openings later today. Based on my experience today alone I can neither recommend this place nor will I be looking to utilize their services...
Read moreMy fiancé booked a float spa for today as a surprise, and when I got to the spa with him, I walked in and wasn’t sure if I wanted to go into the float pod. The person at the desk was helpful and answered some questions. The video they showed me pretty much amplified the concerns I had, confirming that I wouldn’t go in. At the end of the video, another person (a long haired blonde person) asked if I wanted to tour the pods and I agreed to just go look at them. After getting to a pod room I was very sure I did not want to go in and was ready to leave. However; the tour guide decided to challenge my reasons, prompting me to explain myself, repeatedly. I refused. After this, the tour guide decided to tell us that because we pre booked the hour, she normally charges a cancellation fee but would make an exception under the circumstances. This seemed nice until she immediately began explaining how the spa is entirely booked and that my fiancé and I stole an hour of time that other people could have been using the spa. It was a demeaning and rude guilt trip, that was entirely unnecessary to say to any customer. We didn’t care about paying for the hour, and since we’d already purchased it, it was ours to do whatever we wanted to- whether that’s inside the float spa or not.
I recommend retraining staff on the basics of customer service, specifically in the...
Read moreFirst time floater. I loved everything about this experience except for two things. First things first, I was brought into a meditation room upon arriving and had to watch a short, but cute, video on sensory deprivation. Then I had a short tour of the facilities. Your pod is in a room with a small bench and shower so that you can rinse before and after floating. The body wash smells amazing! Here's where I ran into the two things I didn't like. First, the float is only an hour but you spend 15 minutes having to listen to soft music, 10 upon entry and the last 5. I get the last 5 to indicate it's time to get out, but I don't want or need the first 10. It's sensory deprivation that I signed on for. The second thing is the light of the room comes through the crack of the door to the pod until the room doesn't sense motion. In my case, the light outlasted the first 10 minutes of music! Again, sensory deprivation is what we are there to do! After the float ends, there is a small room that provides combs, towels, hair dryer, deodorant, etc. In case you need to get ready for something else. They also provide an oxygen bar with hot tea or water to wind down. Overall, I was very relaxed when I left and will definitely do it again! Hopefully, there is a way to get around my two gripes and make it a five out...
