I would not recommend this bridal boutique to anyone. My best friend just got married this past Saturday and had nothing but trouble beginning with the first fitting with this boutique. Every time she had a fitting, they cancelled on her and it had to be rescheduled. Nothing was ever ready by the date the boutique said it would be and they were horrendous at communicating with the bride. When the bride had to have major surgery two months before her wedding, they were not flexible or understanding when she had to cancel and reschedule. In addition to all of this, they never had the alterations done when they said they would by the scheduled fittings and they continuously lied about where certain things such as the veil were coming from (saying it was handmade, special ordered blah blah blah and when she came to pick it up, it was a piece of tulle unevenly cut, which had to be redone just weeks before the wedding AND they continued to charge her even more despite all the problems they were causing. In addition to this, when she attended her final fitting, just DAYS before the wedding, the dress was a mess. It had stains on it (as if they were allowing others to try on her "one of a kind", specially made dress) and the alterations that had been made were a disaster. With only days until her wedding, the seamstress "hijacked" the dress and the managers were no help. Not only were they not offering to pick up any of the cost, they also were not staying in communication with the bride. Every time she discussed the situation, it was always, "Well we need to discuss this with all of the managers and we will call back at such and such a time"- EVERYTIME she had to call them because they did not call her when they said they would. Being that it was only days before the wedding and my friend had no dress, not to mention the obscene amount of money they spent at this place, you would've thought that they would be much more accommodating and treat the situation as the emergency that it was. By the middle of the week, her parents had to finally get involved, at which point the manager finally responded and luckily the dress was fixed in time. However for the prices they charge- the unprofessionalism you would have to deal with if something goes wrong, and the added stress they caused for my friend's wedding was absolutely NOT worth it! I would not recommend this place to any...
Read moreThis was the 3rd bridal salon I have visited in search of a dress for my Fall 2014 wedding. The other 2 salons were in California and Saratoga Springs, NY, and though all 3 experiences were great, my experience at L'Fay in Chatham topped them all. Laura assisted me last night (a random Thursday evening) and took the time to understand the details of my wedding and what I liked/disliked in the wedding gowns I had tried on previously. She pulled dresses that I would never have thought to try on and I can honestly say I loved every one of them. Her expertise is apparent as she has so many unique ideas for adding personal touches to gowns, tips for altering the veil after the ceremony for the first dance, and unique ways to accessorize. I eventually tried on a Cymbeline dress that actually made me say (for the first time after 3 attempts) "I think this is the dress," and Laura added a 3/4 sleeve jacket and belt that completed the look tastefully. Above all, when I left the shop last night and got into my car, I realized the store had actually closed 20 minutes prior to my departure, but Laura never once hurried me out of the shop or mentioned how late it was getting. Truly professional.
Above all, I would highly recommend this bridal boutique to anyone searching for a classy and unique (yet tasteful) wedding gown, personalized attention in an intimate environment, and an overall...
Read moreL'Fay Bridal has been the absolute best experience I have had. Getting my dress at this store in Chatham has made my entire wedding experience so much more enjoyable.
The store is so gorgeous and clean! The dresses are displayed around the perimeter of the store beautifully, making them both easily accessible and easily viewed. I went in with a list of things I wanted in a dress - lace, sleeves, illusion neckline, etc., and was happy to see many options that fit my requirements. However, the dress I ended up getting was completely different. In other stores you have to wrestle with the dresses to get them off of the cramped racks, whereas here I was able to easily peruse them - which is how I stumbled upon a dress so different from what I originally wanted.
On top of the beautiful dresses and store the employees were magnificent. Laura has been helping me from the first time I stepped in the store and has gone above and beyond what is usually expected. She is so helpful and kind and I felt she was truly excited about my dress as well. She was accommodating to my sisters and mother coming with me to my appointments and could not have been happier or more pleasant with them and myself.
This is the only bridal store I will ever recommend to anyone. You would be cheating yourself not to at least try L'Fay Bridal for your...
