this place is easy to find from the street. there is street side parking. there is someone to greet you and our server came just the right amount of times - wasn't excessive and we also didn't feel neglected. the food is good. I asked for a recommendation and what I got was good but not amazing hence not 5 stars. I would come again but perhaps might try a different sushi next time. my friend's entree had good flavor and the chicken was moist and well flavored.
SS
Edit: updating rating to 5 star. Second visit, had excellent sushi rolls. Service was exceptional as well. Still one of the more expensive options, but good none the less. Original Review: Really impressed by the sashimi and sushi they put out. Probably the largest cuts of fish ive gotten at a sushi restaurant. On the flip side, it came with a premium price tag. Still, I would definitely recommend and will likely be back.

As an Asian decent, my Taiwanese friend and I went for Nabeyaki Udon all the times at this store. To us, and to let you in a bit of our secret to discern the authenticity of a Japanese restaurant in the States is this dish. I can honestly say that this restaurant before and after the pandemic keeps the same quality of this dish and so we keep return back to quench our craving for something similar to our heritage country.

We came here on a whim as our regular Japanese sushi restaurant is undergoing renovations.. can't say I was impressed. The restaurant gives off the feel of a diner with bright lights and uncomfortable seating. The prices are much higher than what we're used to.

We ordered a sashimi deluxe, which we usually pay $27 for in our regular place in Millburn - a lot more money here & the fish pieces were much smaller. The wait staff was on top of us - we weren't able to carry on a conversation. We ended up leaving our dinner early as 2 families with children came in & the kids were really loud - not something we enjoy.

My advice would be to put parties with children in the front of the restaurant & the other patrons in the back. We used to take our small children to a restaurant, but they were better behaved & we always went for 5:30pm, earlier than other...

Sushi was fresh and ready relatively quickly for a Saturday night. I had the rainbow roll while my husband had the hidden dragon roll. The pieces of mine topped with shrimp tasted the freshest. I would have preferred the roll to be a bit more chilled. Perhaps some minutes in the fridge would've helped matters but I was starving and unwilling to wait. There was some browning on the avocado on my roll which is fine but not necessarily appetizing. My husband had nothing but good things to say about his roll. Also got vegetable spring rolls for an appetizer which I was completely unimpressed by and wouldn't order again. The beef negimaki was the better of the appetizers, I liked the presence of the scallion but thought it was a tad small for the price. Likely to get sushi here again, but I'll try something else on the...

If you’re looking for some good sushi, try your luck at your local grocery store’s refrigerated fish section before coming here.

We ordered a spicy lobster and spicy salmon roll (not sure the exact names, but both were “specialty” rolls) and were sorely disappointed. Neither had ANY flavor, let alone spiciness, and neither my husband nor I could eat more than one roll because of how bad they were (textures were off + aforementioned flavorlessness).

Additionally, the service was poor. We got takeout and, to be fair, they were clearly understaffed and they had a little paper that said as much near the entryway. That said, it is unprofessional to not even acknowledge guests for ten+ minutes after they enter your establishment. Will not be giving this place any more money, I’m sorry to say. Would...
