After countless visits to the Art side of the building we finally made it to the historical building side. This section is awesome. It's packed full of cecil county history. From old time photos to important documents from over 100 years ago. I would highly recommend checking it out. Their only open to the public the first Saturday of every month so make sure you plan ahead. We also got these awesome Tshirts to help celebrate the 350th anniversary of Cecil County!!!

We attended an art exhibit at the Cecil County Arts Council. They share a venue with the Cecil County Historical Society. The Historical Society has lots of documents and pictures. Mike Dixon, the chief historian of Cecil County is very helpful.

I could spend days in there doing research.There is a very large amount of local History I started with my own ancestors for information and also for practice .I don't think the public is aware of the treasure in their town .it is worthy of your attention and...

We went to the opening night of the John Dewitt Museum (a good collection of memorabilia!), & enjoyed the art exhibits, too. Next time we'll become members for researching our family's history and take full advantage of historical research...
