Wish it was better! I took my son's switch into ubreakifix a couple of weeks ago for a charging port issue. It was just not charging Everytime. Looked up online. This place showed. Great! I love asurion, they are also fix place for my cell phones. Have had wonderful wonderful experiences with them in Shreveport, LA. I drop it off. Tell them I'm pretty sure it's the charging port. No problem, pay the diagnostic fee $43 dollars after tax. Again no problem. It even goes towards the repair cost overall. Awesome. They call a couple of days later...yup..it's the charging port. Ok great Please fix it. Last Friday comes around. Its been alittle over a week since they called. I swing by just to see if it is ready. Parts can be tricky to get sometimes. Understandable in my opinion. It is marked ready. Great. My kid will be happy. He has been missing this. He did a final check. Was still only charging on the one side. No big deal to me. As long as it will charge. They hadn't even did a full charge to make sure everything was fine either. Odd, but ok. The tech wanted to take one more look inside because he thought it was odd still only charging on the one side. Ok. He told.me to follow him. He said the sticky leftover of "flux" was probably the problem. He used alcohol and a toothbrush looking thing to clean it up. Plugged it into a charger again. Charging still. I told him it was ok. But now there is an error message that it can't read games or do anything else. My face dropped. What? Now it has more problems than it showed up with. All of that was working perfectly before I dropped it off. He asked me to leave it over the weekend. The head tech would take another look at it. Ok. Fair enough. I'll call or come by Monday afternoon. I call on Monday. They inform me it is some video chip and it is unfixable. Ok. That was not what you diagnosed originally and that was not even close to how it was dropped off. So what can we do here. He put me on hold. The general manager got on the phone. Almost felt like she was blaming me to be honest. But I explained my frustration and then told her I was not paying any remaining balance for the port repair and that I felt like they made it inoperable. At first she didn't even offer any refund. Just that I wouldn't have to pay the remaining balance for the port repair. And I told her but what about the device? Because now I have to completely replace it and somehow after I was there and watched your tech do what he did, you say it is completely unfixable. She offered my $43 dollar diagnostic fee back and that was it. And I haven't seen it yet. But I just feel like we could have compromised somewhere on a better solution. Obviously if they make it worse, or completely unfixable then we are just out the device I guess. I wasn't asking for a new device. It could have been refurbished. So beware, if you bring it in and they mess it up worse, you...

Got the managers name, Julie and spoke with her. She told me nothing was done to Xbox. She said they noticed it didn’t power on, (even though they could not test for this before) and therefore did not do any repairs. The HDMI port was clearly replaced as it is not loose anymore. Spoke the manager Julie several times between me and my wife. She explained that they would take care of the diagnostic charge but there was nothing they could do about it not powering on. She stated my wife signed a paper that said they were unable to test for power. Julie also says this is the reason they are not responsible. As I stated to her, an HDMI concern does not prevent you from testing for power. She agreed and even went as far as saying this specific employee has been written up for this same thing before. How would I know that unless she told me? It will come to light once the BBB starts investigating. Upon pickup my wife asked for the notes on the work that was done, the first employee started to do it but Julie stopped her and told her no, she said we were not allowed to have those notes. I then called to talk to Julie and was treated very poorly. I was told she was busy in the back and would call me back, I told them I would hold, employee came back on the phone and then said I wasn’t allowed to hold, that they had other customers to take care of, I then started pleading my case to this other employee, Julie joins the conversation about halfway though me talking, as if she was listening to us on speakerphone the whole times and chimes in by saying the same thing she told my wife, which is basically, they’re not going to give us any notes or assistance towards a new x box, she once again referred to the paper my wife signed, which again, doesn’t make sense. You should always be able to test for power and Julie even agreed to that. Also, do take notice of the screw on the back of my x box that they drilled into it and cracked it. They said that’s how they soldered it back shut. What kind of place is this? This review is one of many steps to get this situation rectified. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE, LOOK AT THEIR...
Read moreThis is the best phone repair service anywhere! I have an iPhone. Took it to the Apple store at the Dove mall. No walk-ins welcomed. Left and went to work and had to use my computer to get an appointment, which was VERY tricky to do. (They try to do everything but give you an appointment.) They finally got me an appointment at Best Buy in Chesterfield. I went there, and they couldn't help me. (several compounding issues - old phone was broken pretty severely, new phone had my sim card but none of my other info (contacts, pics, etc, plus I had forgotten my Apple ID password, etc.) Before I gave up for the day, I decided to run by uBreakiFix since they had fixed my phone a few other times in the past. So grateful I did! Karsen had several tricks that the Apple folks didn't know about or didn't think of. First off, he got my old phone to actually work enough to charge and turn on. He knew all the tricks I needed to do exactly what I needed to do, including setting up a faux home button since my was destroyed, and a trick with the limited functionality that my severely damaged phone to allow me to set a new password. Then, he also assisted me in showing me how to upgrade my storage and backup my phone to iCloud manually so that I could retrieve everything from my old phone and transfer to my new phone. Some of this may seem trivial, but with the different issues my phone had, no one else could do this. Not the Apple store, not the Geek Squad at Best Buy, and they all said I could probably get my contacts if I'm lucky, but would lose other things like my old text threads, etc. They didn't even attempt to look at my broken phone to see if it could be patched enough to download data from.
To top things off, this all only took Karsen about 5 minutes, and when I asked the cost, -- $0! He said it was just common sense!!! Maybe for these guys, but not other stores, including the manufacture's own stores (the Apple store.) Job extremely well done! I will no longer attempt to take my phone to Apple EVER until after I bring it here first. Not once have I ever been satisfied with phone fix service at Apple or Best Buy, and not once have I ever NOT been satisfied at uBreakiFix. Kudos to this group! 100% rating every time I've been there (multiple times, zero...
