Denied access because of my Service Dog. For the weekend my wife and I went on a double date with our friends. We went to the Chesterfield restaurant and as soon as we walked in Juan/Wan/Yuan (spelling, sorry) told us we cant come in because of my dog. I tried letting her know this was my service dog and that she has access rights to go with me, but she wouldnt hear any of it. I let her know that the law protects Service Dogs, but she said customers might have an allergy and thats why she wouldnt let us in. From there I asked if I could talk to the manager, then learned apparently he was gone for the next few hours. Tried going more in depth with the law, but she just walked away and completely disregarded me as a customer and any form of open mindedness.
Not wanting to make a scene because an employee wasnt familiar with service dog laws, we went to a different restaurant and I was going to call and talk to the manager, hoping that it was just a mistake and something that they will make sure to inform their employees in the future. I try to give companies the benefit of the doubt and handle things at a lower level without being a total Karen.
Fast forward to today, I call to talk to the manager. At first I get told hes not in for 2 hours, I call later and again get told hes not in, but the person asks what is going on and I told him I wanted to talk to the manager about an incident that happened over the weekend. The phone gets passed to apparently the manager and I start to explain what happened and ask if hes familiar with service dog laws. No. I try to start explaining them, and he passes the phone back to the guy I was just talking with. Start explaining it to him, and he starts translating to them and I hear them laughing in the background. He just says "Okay sorry" and we just awkwardly sat on the phone for a bit. I asked if he could have them review the laws so this doesnt happen again and that was pretty much it.
It really frustrates me the sheer levels of disregard and disrespect they had this entire thing. I am a disabled Marine Corps veteran with 3 deployments and spent years (and LOTS of money) to get my service dog, just to get laughed at on the phone because a company doesnt know basic laws. Im not looking for sympathy or special treatment - just basic respect. Will not...

Across the street is a high end Sushi restaurant the wife and I enjoy frequenting as well at about 4 times the cost, but this little gem has quality and service like no other that has moved this Sushi location as our top pick!
There is one lady who must never leave as she is sweet as can be and there working EVERY time we visit. Presentation is important to me and the plates served are nothing more than artistry, making it that much better.
Our 2 favorites, crazy crab roll and the St. Louis roll, but don't forget the crab rangoon as the filling is simply perfect along with a fresh crunch not the chewy experience often found elsewhere.
IF you in the chesterfield Valley area and up for some excellent sushi, you won't be disappointed. Most the time we do the crazy crab roll which is a more expensive item on the menu, but they always have buy 3 get one free....be sure to try the crab rangoon $6
Great Job Sushi Ai Chesterfield....this should serve as an example of how staff and owners who take pride in their business can make all...

I went during dinner time, which is usually when they step up their game a bit from lunch. It was probably the best sushi ai that I have ever had. The rice on the nigiri wasn’t over done, the garnishes were on point, and the taste was amazing. As for the rolls.. also delicious. We had to try at least 8(I know it’s a lot-we can put it down pretty easy.) I have to say the Twin and Mountain roll are a MUST have. As for nigiri definitely get the yellowtail.
The service was good. The waitress tended to us but didn’t over do it. Everyone that came in was sat down quickly. We got our appetizers almost immediately while we waited for our sushi.
One thing that’s not necessarily bad is that it was obvious that it was a Mexican restaurant before it was a sushi restaurant. Which adds or takes away depending on the person. I thought it was pretty funny.
The restaurant over all was clean, no funny smells. Some of the nigiri had a slight fish smell which may turn some people off as sushi isn’t supposed to.
The dinner prices are a lot higher than the lunch prices and I’ve never seen sushi dinner prices that high. $28 for premium- not worth it since there are so many options on...
