I've been in this park at least two different times and I really enjoy it wish we could feed the ducks and the geese but I totally understand the reason and it makes absolute sense.

I definitely like the furry little squirrels that just come up and say howdy and I do love the historic train it's kept in great and pristine condition.

Which most trains are not usually well easy to maintain but somehow this park accomplished it and that's good.

The only thing I would probably suggest is any like reading boards that have history some of them might want to be attended to my first visit.

A few of the reading boards were a little bit difficult to make out I'm assuming from vandalism but other than that I will always consider this my new favorite Park.

I also like how it's very well maintained as far as the lawns as well as little to no litter.

Not many parks enforce that Oregon sadly has been known notoriously to not enforce things.

Just glad to see...

Nice sized park with a small lake in the middle. Lots of trees and places to sit and have a picnic. If it isn't too windy that is. There's a very good variety of wildlife for a park in the middle of a city. There are ducks, geese, black-crowned night herons (during the late spring and summer), squirrels, etc. I even saw a turtle once, though I think it was an abandoned pet :( The lake is ringed with a walking or biking path and there are a few gazebo things with benches and tables.

There are a couple issues though. Unfortunately, there is a bit of trash in the lake, despite there being plenty of trash bins around the paths. The other usually only applies in the warmer months, because that's when the geese are around. There can be an astonishing amount of goose poop on the grass and paths. Be sure to watch your step. Or just wear a cheaper...

Great little Park in the center of Cheyenne with the last and largest coal train that went across the country known as Big boy this train car has now been turned into a memorial there's a gazebo with a grill that you can rent for family gatherings there's tennis courts a Castle Park a gazebo by the lake and the Cheyenne artist guild (currently being repaired after a driver lost control) a volleyball court and other family gathering gazebos around the park they don't need to be rented they can be used freely lots of good sunshine and fresh air so take the phone away from the kid and they can go and play outside! Come to Cheyenne check out Holiday Park on lincolnway and have a barbecue just don't feed the ducks!! ( You will get fined and in trouble, again do not feed the ducks or the geese or the squirrels or any of the animals...

Lovely park. Beautiful colors and foliage. Lots of places to sit and watch the critters, ducks, geese, and the water...only problem was I found only 1 bathroom and it was on the FAAAAAAR side of the park. They have a beach volleyball area, but no net, an area with a bunch of Horseshoe pits, a playground near the art building for little tots and on the other end, by the tennis courts is a playground for the bigger tots that looks kinda like a castle. They have an area for working out as well right next to the bigger tot playground. It's tucked back from the bigger traffic areas, so it's pretty quiet.

Very nice park, that has seen quite a few improvements over the years. It has walking trails that go around the pond, lots of trees and grass, various gazibos and shelters, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe and vollyball pits, as well as two playgrounds. Their are also restrooms, plenty of parking, and a "Rock on Wheels/ DDA" bike re-ride station. I have enjoyed running around this park for years, as well as eating picnics. It's nice to see the improvements that have been made to the landscaping near the pond.
