Bread Basket Bakery — Restaurant in Cheyenne

There are two rush times for the Bread Basket. Once in the morning when people are coming to get pastries for work, and then for lunch when people are getting well, Lunch.

You can't go wrong for either choice, but alas I mainly go for Lunch. You will find that as soon as you walk in the door there will be a line where people decide on the type of sandwich they want, if they want soup/chili and the type of desert they want. The cool think about the bread basket is that you can chose the type of delicious bread you want as well. So not only do you have to try and figure out what you want for the sandwich you have to figure out what you want for the bread as well.

I recently visited here for the first time with my family and I found this bakery absolutely charming. The employees were very patient with us and were sweet with my daughter when she went to pick out her cookie. The wait was not long at all. We split a chicken salad sandwich on 9 grain bread with potato salad and an oatmeal raisin cookie. The food was so delicious. Tastes just like a lunch your grandma would have prepared for you with love. Very filling too. They have a large variety of baked goods, jams, sandwiches and hot lunches to choose from. I have been staying in downtown Cheyenne for a few months now and have walked to this bakery several times, as well as, have made a number of purchases. The local bakery is wonderful! It so reminds me of when I was a boy my mom would take me to our local bakeries and you felt so welcomed there! I have tried several of the breads and pastries in the past few months. The taste of all have been great! I have not had the opportunity to try any of the sandwiches but I’m sure they are awesome given the number of customers I have see buying them!
