My two favorite things when it comes to eating out are eating somewhere for the first time and supporting local businesses. I was able to do both when I ate at Mi Tierra for the first time recently. This is relatively a new restaurant still as it opened over a year ago. It was a smooth visit. Everything went well. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. I will say it was very humid and hot inside the restaurant though so I'm not sure if they have air conditioning or if it was broken. As for the service, it was satisfactory. I have no significant complaints in that area. Now getting to the food it was good. There isn't much more to add to that statement but It wasn't bad. The food came out fairly quickly. It was fresh and hadn't been sitting. Overall, the food wasn't spectacular but it wasn't bad so it was right in the middle. I would describe this restaurant as a middle-of-the-road type of restaurant. That's not being negative as much as it sounds like I am because it's a solid restaurant and a good addition to the Mexican restaurant stable in Cheyenne. My rating for this place would be closer to a 4.5 than a 4. If you love Mexican food then I would say give this restaurant a try. I wouldn't be opposed to eating here again because nothing negative happened during my visit so it's worth trying again. I'm glad I tried this restaurant out for the first time and most of all I'm glad I was able to support this local business because places like this one are just trying to make it during these...
Read moreHaving been to this restaurant before I brought my kids for a late lunch and was very surprised at how terrible our experience was . The young waitress all though very polite didn't seem to know proper service etiquette. She served our whole table except for my 9 year old son who ordered pozole. After 15 mins of waiting for his order and me walking back to the kitchen to see how much longer she finally brought out his bowl and proceeded to lean across our booth laying her long beautiful hair on top of my other son's wet burrito I let her know her hair layer across his whole plate and she was very apologetic but did not offer to replace his food which I had to tell her he was not gonna eat that and if she could bring him a new meal ( that was untouched btw since we were waiting for my other son's food to arrive before we began eating. By this point I'm very disgusted and annoyed. When she brought his plate back I asked for boxes and let her know we were ready to leave. She brought the boxes and the check. Never once did anyone come out and apologize for our experience. I payed the check and she returned with no receipt we had to ask for one. The first time we came here we really I enjoyed this restaurant but after this I wouldn't refer anyone to this place I hope this review helps them to improve. This hands down has been the worst dining experience that we...
Read moreWhen you walk through the doors, you can immediately tell that somebody put their whole heart into this place. The gorgeous setting is rivaled only by the fantastic food! The barbacoa breakfast burrito I got was full of meat and eggs, and also full of flavor! You can tell the barbacoa even by itself is amazing. I also got it smothered in green chili, half hot, half mild. The hot chili is just what I'm looking for when I'm looking for spicy- tickles the throat and clears the sinuses but doesn't dull the taste of the food. The mild is still bursting with flavor and compliments the fullness of the meat so well! The folks that work here do the atmosphere and the food justice with their friendly and sharp service. Our server anticipated everything we could want and need, kept the coffee, chips, and salsa full. Can't wait to be back and try more...
