Cheyenne Artist Guild — Attraction in Cheyenne

Horrible experiences with both Carroll and Brenda. Brenda is the President and she wanted to support her volunteer Carroll. Carroll should not be there on artwork turn-in days. I joined as a newer artist trying to start showing my work. Got 3rd place in my very first digital photography work that I put in the April show. I joined but cancelled my membership after I tried bringing artwork for submission into the June show, this past Saturday. Carroll threw my name tag information at me and said that it had none of the information that was needed. It was beyond rude. I was just like: “Uh, well I have the title and my name and also the medium on there so I don’t know what else I am missing?” I thought that was valid but she got nasty fast. The whole situation was regrettable as I had hoped to find a nice little artist community and instead I got met with the meanness of some women in their later years! I want to go back and spend more time. I was passing by and stopped by to check it out. The Guild supports the work and the artists here locally. The camaraderie with other artists helps all artists.
