to Bob Nelson, We visited your museum on Saturday, 9,9,2023, have been to many museums but never have occasion to meet the founder and have him explain in detail some of the exhibits. Your museum is fabulous and a must see. So great is the gun collection, saddle displays and trophies from many countries. Really liked the one where there was an indian rifle that was found at the gravesite in 1944 and the sheriffs office. Informative and timeless place to learn about Western history. If you are not fond of taxidermy, avoid this post and establishment. Lots and lots of animals from all over the world are here to see, and taxidermy is done well on each one, in my opinion. I had planned to drop in to the Nelson Museum as part of my Cheyenne itinerary. The size of the facility & the number of artefacts on display were unexpected. I was really impressed. This is a must-see if you're travelling through Cheyenne. I hope to give more support to this institution...
