Straight deal on the Crooked Cup for vegetarians.

This is a "small chain" with several stores in northern Colorado which recently opened its first store in Wyoming here in downtown Cheyenne. I'm glad they did. The people working here are very nice and helpful, answering any questions I had.

Aside from some creative pastries there are a couple of meal items available which are meatless.

Veggie Kolache - an in store made puff pastry filled with mushrooms, spinach, tomato, and "white cheese" (it's white American cheese a.k.a. pasturized processed Swiss cheese). This was a tasty treat which they reheat for three minutes in their convection oven (not microwaved) and it puts a nice finish on it. It could be an entrée for small appetites and is reasonably priced at $3.75 I hope someday they will switch to any "white cheese" other than American White Cheese, such as Swiss, Provolone, or Mozzarella.

Egg & Potato breakfast burrito - filled with egg, potato, corn, sour cream, green chile, green pepper, and black beans. These are made at one of their stores in Colorado and brought to Cheyenne each morning by the owner. I asked and was told the green chile was meatless. It is served with salsa (if desired). This is a very tasty breakfast entrée and not overpriced at $5.25

I got a 16 Oz Cappuccino which comes with "two shots" which gave me a nice lift and was tasty enough to enjoy without any sweetener. They will ask if you want it "wet" or "dry" which refers to how much foam you prefer. This was one of the better coffees I've had in Cheyenne. If you're downtown this ranks with my other favorites. It's reasonably priced at $3.90

I've given them a suggestion to pass on to the owner, please identify vegetarian items on the menu so customers who want meatless items don't have to ask questions about each item he or she is interested in.

If they would take the suggestions about marking the menu for vegetarian items and use real cheese instead of "pasturized processed white cheese" I would raise their 4 stars I'm rating them to 5.

If your looking for a quick bite and good coffee, skip the big chain places and try here. I think you'll enjoy it. I did. 😀 ...

We made a very quick stop on our way through town this morning. Service was decent and very quick. The gentleman was the only one there which made me concerned when a group of 7 women came in after. Poor guy. We had the bacon breakfast burrito, a bacon Kashe, americano and one of their specialty lattes. Everything was wonderful, however I wasn’t impressed with the kashe. It was the first time I’ve ever had one so I’m not sure what to expect. I’m not even sure how to spell it. Lol. If it’s supposed to be a roll stuffed with egg and very little bacon, then it was perfect. The breakfast burrito however, was the best I’ve ever tasted and I’m a barista at a restaurant known for their breakfast burritos. I can also say the coffee is delicious!!! Definitely lives up to the other reviews. I think the most disappointing part of this coffee shop was the office blow up on the back part of the counter. It looks horrible. I’ve worked with tax accountants and they’re more organized than that. Cute little coffee shop with quality food and coffee, and then this throw up of papers and junk on the counter. It made me sad and glad we were taking our food to go. I would still recommend this place...

I love this place! In fact, I live on the opposite side of town and drive past multiple coffee shops just to go here. I am a tad scared though. I am hoping it lasts, but I see that the manager has no issue with calling employees out on mistakes in front of customers(witnessed multiple times), which is completely unprofessional. If he were talking to me like that in front of customers, he would be finding a new employee. I hope they can keep employees so they can stay here for a long, long time. I also had a barrista talk to me like I was stupid, which isn't cool. I understand her explaining the process, but to still try to justify after I told her I understood and I was fine with the outcome, and then not fill my cup completely was a little upsetting as I watched her pour out another half cups worth of what she "over made". I still give 5 stars because the other employees are great and the coffee...

So I find parking in the shade across the street from the shop and this woman parked across from me goes in the middle of the road like she was waiting for me to move and the notices I'm parking so she goes in front of me and parks to get shade and then gets out the car and shakes her head like I'm crazy and I see from the door of the shop what seemed to be her husband/ boyfriend look at me crazy so I'm like whatever, I go in only to see that lady go behind the counter.. yeah pretty awkward experience honestly 😂 and the lady seemed pissed like I did something bad. Would definitely never go back also the iced depot I got was decent.

So glad I stopped here esp after my frustrating time in Laramie. My breakfast sandwich on toasted buttermilk bread was amazing; fresh, ample and delicious. Made to order. Perfect satisfing 12oz oat latte, with 2 shots standard! None of this nonsense about only 1 shot of expresso I've encountered on my trip. Reasonable prices and great service! Comfortable, friendly patrons. Even recommendations on where to walk my dogs. Happy feelings about Cheyenne even with the dramatic skies amid thunder and light rain. Highly recommended.
