Joel Oppenheimer Inc — Attraction in Chicago

We were visiting Chicago for the first time and on our first walk outside, we passed the beautiful building and realized it was a gallery. Luckily, we were able to find it again a couple days later. We came in about an hour before closing and Samiera and Matt were absolutely amazing. They were extremely knowledgeable about everything we were looking at. It was so nice just looking through all of the beautiful pieces they had. We were not rushed at all, despite keeping them a bit past closing time. We walked away with three pieces which we are extremely excited to get. Shipping to WA from IL was easy with Matt and Samiera communicating with us the whole way through shipment. Their online inventory is up to date and I will be stalking it consistently now, but going in person is a really amazing experience. Support the arts, people! I have had 2 substantial dealings with Oppenheimer over the years. Both have been extremely pleasant experiences. I will focus on the just completed experience. This involved a selection or 3 Besler, 2 Audubon and 1 Redoute prints.

The finished product of any piece of art starts with the frame and matting design. In my considerable experience over the course of my life, no gallery can match in the expertise of design. All of these selections involved custom frames and hand styled French matting. After design comes the ability to produce the envisioned design. Oppenheimer can produce to the same high quality as they can design.

As a naturalist - I find this gallery to be THE BEST ONE I've ever been. The gallery showcases the most beautiful, elegant and well preserved lithograph animal prints you can find. The catalog ranges from famous authors such as Audubon, Gould, Elliot and many more. You can find some of their prints at the Field Museum as well!
