I have been a loyal member for 6 years, coming consistently every week and being a huge part of the member community they’ve built. I’ve enjoyed coming here and it’s been a consistent part of my routine, so it saddens me that I cannot continue to support — but it is against my values to do business where I am outright disrespected and not appreciated as customer. Unfortunately, due to an exchange with the owner today when he told me he didn’t care if I continued to be a member and he didn’t like my “attitude” after sharing feedback, then continued to say that “he could tell I don’t enjoy being there”, which is really wild and extremely far fetched considering I’m there 5x a week, which is more than him, most other members and even most of the trainers!
The feedback that I shared is that their box and lift class is completely over booked and they don’t have enough weights for the class. I’ve shared this same feedback with the trainers and they completely agree..however nothing has changed and the owner doesn’t care. The owner, Graham, dismissed the feedback and told me that if I didn’t like it, I don’t have to be there. Now with that said, I know that weights are first come first served, and I was a couple minutes late for today’s class, but this feedback still holds true regardless of if I’m early/late — they run out of weights and the class is over booked. Most owners would appreciate feedback from loyal members—Graham told me he didn’t care and to cancel my membership. Feedback is a gift, not something to retaliate against.
Additionally, I apologized if the feedback caught him off guard and told him that I work in HR so I wanted him to know from my perspective and he LAUGHED in my face. Lastly, I have 3 PT sessions on my account that have now mysteriously disappeared now that I have mentioned canceling my membership. I am completely shocked by the disrespectful treatment after being such a loyal member for 6 years.
It’s really bad for Graham to react that way to a loyal customer and it also doesn’t seem as if he cares about the business considering his absence and lack of care for feedback. The fact that good trainers continue to leave also reflects this. Regardless of how I approached the situation, it doesn’t justify his behavior, I am an adult (that’s also respectful and professional), and a long term member. Weights are minimal that gyms can provide…and being respected is also a minimal...
Read moreTITLE Boxing Club South Loop has completely exceeded my expectations.
I originally signed up for just two classes a week, but after experiencing the incredible energy and instruction, I quickly upgraded to the unlimited membership—and I haven’t looked back since.
The workouts are intense, fun, and consistently push me to be better, but what truly sets this location apart is the team of trainers, especially Chelsea and Keyante. They are both extremely hands-on, encouraging, and motivating. They don’t just lead the class—they take time to correct form, offer personal feedback, and push you in a way that feels empowering, not intimidating. You can tell they genuinely care about your progress, and that makes all the difference.
I’ve seen real improvement in my strength, stamina, and confidence, and it’s largely thanks to their dedication and guidance.
Also, a huge shoutout to Graham, the owner. He is hands down one of the most accommodating, kind, and involved business owners I’ve ever encountered. Whether it’s helping with a membership question or simply checking in to make sure your experience is going well, Graham is always present and genuinely cares about the people who walk through the doors. That level of service and support is rare and makes TITLE South Loop feel more like a community than just a gym.
If you’re thinking about joining—do it. The energy, the people, and the support at TITLE South Loop are unmatched. This place has helped me stay consistent, challenged me in all the right ways, and reminded me how strong...
Read moreenjoyed the class itself, great workout. HOWEVER, they made it VERY difficult for me to cancel my membership. I called, and the guy was atleast trying to be understanding so he put my membership on hold for a month. After that, I was charged again the next month so I called to finalize cancelling my membership again but the guy on the phone said he couldn't cancel memberships and that I would have to email management instead... Then, when I went to email them, I got no response for a week until they put my membership on hold again instead of cancelling. So I had to email them yet again saying I am not coming back, please cancel! This was early in the month, but apparently Title has a policy that you have to cancel 30 days ahead of time to keep from being charged the next time. 30 days.... so even though I cancelled my membership on like the 10th, I was charged the next month. So literally NO MATTER WHAT, you will be charged again after cancelling your membership, and 89$ can be hard to afford when I literally explained to the management that the reason I could not keep coming back wasn't because of the class but because I could not afford it. I understand times are tough, but this seems over the top on trying to keep customers.
I will end on saying that the workouts are great if you're into boxing for the exercise. And the trainers...
