If you’ve never been to the @vlsanthromuseum at @chicostate, then Butte County Museum Weekend is a great time to visit! All of the annual exhibits are researched, designed, and built by anthropology students—with the public getting to enjoy the professional-level work. During Museum Weekend, enjoy the opening of a new Film and Travel Exhibit as well as the main gallery - "Deeply Rooted Soil" exhibit - which will feature interactive art projects with clay and paint (from soil pigments) for everyone to enjoy! Great museum! There is incredible art and great things to learn and experience. Kids can enjoy it although I didn't see any hands on exploration for kids. I think adults would typically get more out of this museum. The museum is small but the art I have seen there thus far is incredible.

Through April and a bit into May 2019 is an incredible art presentation with 3D glasses, movement and glow in the dark. It's an incredible experience. If you happen to see this review before May 2019 I would highly recommend you...

Beautiful baskets. The exhibit honors the native traditions and modern natives from the area around Chico college.
