First and last time I ever visit this dispensary. The whole experience was awful. When you check in, they don’t really give you any instructions on what to do - they just kind of direct you over to a lounge area. So I sat in the lounge area by myself for several minutes wondering what was going on. I finally got up to ask the people at the front desk if I was supposed to wait until someone came and got me and they said “yes.” Well, next to the waiting area was what I guessed was an employee sitting in a chair on a laptop talking to a customer. I wasn’t 100% sure because it kind of just looked like she was sitting at a cafe table at Starbucks. There was no signage or anything. After this person was done talking to the customer, they directed me to come over to them. She was very loud, aggressive in her tone, and condescending from the start. She asked what it is that I wanted and I told her I wanted some flower. She asked what type of flower and I said “I don’t know I would have to look at your menu.” This is where all the confusion came to head. I thought I was gonna go into the dispensary and look at the menu on a book, or the wall, or a TV - like every other dispensary out of the hundreds I’ve been to. But this dispensary was very different. She instructed me that I was to walk over beside her and view her laptop while she browsed and searched. I was extremely uncomfortable doing this as I explained to her that I have bad anxiety (actually diagnosed as a panic disorder with agoraphobia) and can’t really be close to people. It’s hard enough for me to go out in public - let alone a store. Instead of being compassionate and understanding, she took offense to this and became even louder and more aggressive with me, telling me that I would just have to order online then. I told her that I was sensitive to someone shouting at me because of my anxiety and she matter of factly stated “that’s just the way I talk,” so I was going to have to deal with it. Again, no understanding or empathy to my specific situation. I returned back to my seat in the lounge area and began to look at the menu on my phone. During this time she walks over to the front desk and loudly tells them in front of everyone that I have anxiety and will be placing my order online. I took offense to her sharing my personal medical information I just provided to her in private, and told her I would appreciate it if she didn’t share my medical information. Instead of apologizing, she again got aggressive and started yelling at me again. At this point, I just got up out of my chair, turned around and walked out the door never to return. It was one of the worst experiences at a dispensary...
Read moreI have been to a few different dispensaries and so far this 1 has came out on top in the overall. As far as selection and pricing. They are not the best at everything but they are the best when I look at what I rate when at any dispensary. If you shop the sales and are willing to try new products you you can get some great deals. Especially on house products as they are owned by a very large company Cresco. Cresco has great products usually, especially pens. There LLR (liquid live resin) carts are worth it 👌. I have had some issues with my online orders and a small amount of wrong information by staff. I have had these issues at all disp., and there willingness to fix it and get you the best product out of it are what gives them a great rating from me in that category. The online orders are usually correct checked and gives you the sale pricing accurately at check out. Just check them out if you haven't yet and are in the area. Or take a peak online and see what they've got. I'm small town where we have 0 😱 yes no disp. around......Adding to my review of Sunnyside dispensary. They've kept up to date on new and different kinds of THC containing products. Offering great sales just pick the right day to go if you can wait. They have flower sales on Wednesdays and Friday's. These are currently my favorite days to go. They've still managed to slide in under most places around me for both quality and pricing for the quality. I will further review other dispensaries in my area. But will continue enjoying Sunnyside products and branching out on...
Read moreSunnyside is definitely the place you go because you have to, and not because you want to.
The store is built using the big box store mentality on the edge of town over a pretty decrepid parking lot that's dangerous to get out of. There are PLENTY of perfectly good buildings in the historic downtown this couldve been built on that would actually benefit the community, but no, let's turn a 5 minute walk into sitting 20 minutes on bridge street traffic.
Ohio has less than 40 licensed growers as of this review, whereas Michigan has well over a 1000 with less anti-consumer laws. (Like only being able to grow indoors?) Like yeah, let's just destroy perfectly good farmland to build a warehouse to...farm.
As for the product, like most in ohio, it's mid at best and costs several more times than it does elsewhere. Cresco's original line of products isn't even that great either. The one and only battery I ever bought there was broken and didn't even turn on, which is scary because this isn't an uncommon experience from what I see from other reviews.
But I guess that's what you get when you wanna be a big box store. Mid Buds Mid vapes Mid atmosphere
There is no hate to the employees, though. They're lovely people, and I always tip since most dispensary owners are scum who don't pay fairly despite raking in MILLIONS a month. Truly Sunnyside is the Dollar General of dispensaries except Dollar General has the decency to price thier broken products low enough to justify...
