I have a FODMAP intolerance, and with fad gluten diets I sometimes get judgment stares for asking for things in certain ways or don't have my requests taken seriously. Well, I went in and asked if they can make milkshakes without dairy (i.e. almond milk). It wasn't an option, but the person picked up that there are things I can't eat so he proactively told me that they do lettuce wrapped burgers. I was really happy because I've had a lot of difficulty asking other places and now often will just get the bun and toss it, but he helped a lot and made sure I knew what came in the burger so I could tell them not to add what I can't have. The burger was like an actual burger. Every other place I've been to just made my burgers into a salad, but I actually got the experience of eating this burger like a burger, just sans buns. I was pretty stoked. No one seemed annoyed and it means a lot to anyone who already has enough...
Read moreThe lobby was not well kept. Most of the tables had salt or other debris on them. The chair seats were also covered in salt, I assume, from the tables having a quick once over but not cleaning further. The floors under the tables had fries, salt, and ketchup packets littered below. The bulk ketchup pumps were empty. The music, while typically loud at 5 Guys was exceptionally blaring. At least 4 or 5 staff were "present" even though only 2 actually seemed to be working at all. The establishment was not busy, only about one group every 5 minutes. The ice dispenser was stuck backwards causing you to pull it forward. One of the non working staff apologized and told us to pull it forward.
The food was fine. Staff were ok The fries a bit on the burnt side. Over all a poor experience. If this would have been my first visit, I'm not sure I...
Read moreWe are in from out of town and wanted someplace quick for lunch. WOW! I have celiac disease (severe gluten allergy). The restaurant is not 100% gluten free, but the precautions the staff took was amazing! They made sure to clean a section of the grill again (they had previously done this, but wanted to do it again just to make sure). They brought fresh toppings from the back (changing gloves is great but if the gloves touch previous bread, I can still get sick). They even got a fresh tub of mayo to make sure it was safe. They went way above and beyond and I am so grateful! The cheeseburger was delicious. I ordered it without a bun. The fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt! Everyone was so friendly, I would 100% go back! If you are ever in Chillocothe, I would encourage...
