As usual, I went in to look for one or two things. I walk in and every creative idea or nerve in my body goes crazy!! I LOVE this place! Some stuff is on the high side of the price scale. But Clearance, Specials, and focus helps keeps things within reason. Especially for those of us with lots of ideas and cobwebs in our wallet. There's some really cute Halloween decor; most of it was 40%off or better. Some good stuff for creating your own, too. Be sure to look for signs on the shelves and read them carefully. It may say "60% Off" but look for the small print to make sure it applies to your choice. Look for the price tag on Clearance items. Just because it's on those shelves, you could still be paying a lot more than you think fair. I.e. 4 icing decorator tips on Clearance, ran under the price scanner, were $6. To me, that'd be full price. They were plastic and basic. Sturdy plastic but still. The store was well maintained, lots of staff on the floor to help and direct, cashier was friendly while ringing me up (and patient when my total was more than I had). I still love Michael's. Didn't give it 5 stars cuz it's expensive (good quality tho), not enough little parts to come up with your own ideas (lots of kits and premade things) and Clearance means they want to get rid of it but you're still gonna pay more than feels right. Read moreOne of their check-out staff treated the military family absolutely with no RESPECT!!!! I went to this store at Chino with my son today to buy some goodies for Valentine's Day. I bought two stuff in total. During checking out, I was asked by the staff "only two(this is the first sentence she spoke to me)?" By this point, she still hasn't greeted me. Then I asked do you offer military discount? She looked me and said "what?", I asked again "do you offer military discount?" Then she is like, only if you have a Michael's account and linked to it. Which is rare to me since I have the military ID with me. After leavinf the store, I checked on their official website and it said "show your military card at checkout, and if you have Michael's Reward Account, your status will be synced within 24 hours." She lied to me and did not want to help me with a really bad attitude. I feel really disappointed to customer services personel like her. By the way, she treated the last customer really well with laugh and smiles during their converastion while we were in the line. But to me she changed her attitude right away. I can't believe we fought for our country with people like her. No kindess but with judgment and discrimination. I'd rather drive longer to another store in...

He was patient with my questions / requests & as he helped me, his fun personality came through as he explained options for my art piece.
He is KNOWLEDGEABLE, CLASSY, ARTSY, THROUGHLY PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY, KIND - A COMPLETE JOY TO CONVERSE WITH as he worked away on my design.
Kudos to you for hiring this wonderful young man to manage your Matte / Framing Dept.

His expertise is phenomenal, his work ethic: beautiful.
I have since been back to have another matte made by him.
He was very busy at the time but always was aware of his customers & let us know he appreciated us waiting as we waited our turn with this WONDERFUL Matte / Framing expert. : ) (& we didn't have to wait long- he has the gift of working fast but throughly) IT WAS A PLEASURE to wait for HIM to help me with a new order.
