The food is horrible. I went to eat with a group and none of us were able to eat the food because it tastes so bad. Not every restaurant out there serves gourmet, but at least make it tastes eatable. It was so expensive. the people in my group got so sick from what we ate. One got sick and threw up in the restroom, and the others were in pain including me. The fries were terrible, the ended the whole basket was boxed and given to a homeless guy who refused to keep eating it because it tastes so bad, the fries tasted like they came our of the bad of a freezer, not just that, they taste so incredibly bad. I could not eat my Cesar Salad the meat with bland (how do you go wrong with a Cesar salad? I couldn't eat but one bite of the chicken on the salad, and the fries send a piercing pain to my stomach. The other person in our group got sick from having two bites of their burger. I was going to give the chicken from the salad to my dog but he smelled it and walked away, that really speaks volumes. The waitress was nice, but when she asked us how our food was, and I have never had to say this but I told her, this is really bad, the waitress responded that they don't serve gourmet food. It was expensive. I don't mind paying for great food, but it was so expensive for food that was bad and made caused us to get sick afterwards. We could not eat for the rest of the day. We were all shocked. Of course we can't do this to...
Read moreI normally love Islands. However, this week I used the curbside service for the first and LAST time. For it to be a call ahead take out service, I had to wait too long to get my food.
First, they have removed my favorite burger, the Pipeline, from the menu. So, I had to settle for something else. I shouldn't have even placed the order, but I did.
When I got there, I had to tell them I was there. Why, when I had to give them my car make, model & color on the website When I placed my order. Shouldn't they have been looking for me?
Anyway, when my food came out, the ranch dressing had spilled in the bag, so I had to wait for him to go get some more.
My server was very attentive, however, it took a long time and then when I got home with my food it was cold.
They've changed their buns for the hamburgers and they were cold and dry.
Was just a disappointing experience all around and my order was nearly $30. That's far too much money to be unsatisfied with the outcome.
I may go there again even with them doing away with my favorite burger, the Pipeline, but I certainly won't use the takeout...
Read moreI'm very disappointed with the service at Islands in the Chino Spectrum. We were at our table for 30 mins, and we even arrived BEFORE the dinner rush, and NOT one of the THREE servers in the area ever looked at our table, came to greet us, or even dropped by to say "I'm sorry, it's a busy night, but we will be with you as soon as we can." They visited all the other tables in our section several times, but bluntly ignored us, and didn't even LOOK at our table or make eye contact with us when we tried to get their attention.
When the hosts who escorted us to our table, came by, I informed him that our sever hadn't been to our table yet. He said he would let them know.
A few mins later, he said that our serve would be coming, and apologized, but our sever never came. After 45 mins My kids, friends and I got up and left, we took our business elsewhere.
We're not the only table with kids, but we were the only table, in that area, of color. This used to be my favorite restaurant. If Island's staff is now discriminatory, I'm sad to say we won't be...
