Rhinegeist Brewery has some of the best views of a brewery in all of Cincinnati. Sure after you make your way upstairs to an old warehouse you could just stop at the massive open tap room. However, the real gem here is the rooftop patio that overlooks all of Cincinnati. Seriously the rooftop is probably one of the best parts of Rhinegeist, but be advised it can be crowded during peak hours so you might just find yourself spending time in the tap room which just so happens to overlook the brewery itself. The main level tap room is a massive open area complete with several bars, lots of tables, and best of all some games like cornhole & ping-pong.
Once you get past the open tap room feel and settle up to the bar, you can order some quality beers. Yes, flights are available here so if you are unsure of what you order you can try several small pours before committing to a single glass. I will probably get some slack for this. However none of the beers I sampled during my visit wowed me, they were good however I have had better beers in Cincinnati and Rhinegeist didn't quite deliver. On the flip side, I know many people that love their beer so that I will leave that up to you.
Overall the atmosphere here is great; it provides fun, feel-good vibe that is perfect for after work, weekends with friends, or just a place to take...
Read moreI’ve been going to Rhinegeist for years and love it! The rooftop bar has beautiful views of the city. There are two bars downstairs and one upstairs to grab a beer. One bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. There is plenty of seating, however, a lot of the tables are reserved for larger parties. Just pay attention to signs on the tables. We reserved a table a few years ago and it was free, which was nice. You can bring in your own food as well. They do have food available, which is a stand with digital screens to order from the Local Cantina located downstairs. You place your order on the screen and someone brings it up. Make sure to have the receipt texted to you! We had ours printed but the printer was out of paper and never received a confirmation text. There is a free parking lot across the street, but it is very small so don’t expect to find a spot during busy hours. The street car has a stop right in front of the building. There are games such as corn hole available, which are always being used. Lots of kids running around so be prepared for that! Overall, it has a great atmosphere and the staff are always very nice and attentive. I recommend bringing people from out of town here. There is a pizza place located nearby with a fun vibe and is a short walk from Findlay Market. You can make a...
Read moreTucked away in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood and easily accessible via the Cincinnati Bell Connector, Rhinegeist Brewery is a standout experience that effortlessly blends industrial-era history with vibrant, modern energy.
Housed in a sprawling, historic bottling plant, the brewery’s multi-floor, multi-room layout maintains the raw charm of its past life while being repurposed into a welcoming and versatile space. The real gem, though, is the rooftop patio—a 360-degree panoramic view of the Queen City that’s hard to beat. With plenty of shaded seating, a large, well-stocked bar, and an atmosphere that feels both laid-back and lively, the rooftop alone is worth the visit. Honestly, there’s nothing like it in my hometown or even the nearby cities.
Rhinegeist draws a diverse crowd—families, groups of friends, locals, and out-of-towners—all blending seamlessly into the brewery’s casual and open vibe. With its close proximity to both the Reds' and Bengals' stadiums, it’s clearly a go-to post-game hangout. Whether you're in the mood for a quality craft beer, catching a sunset over the skyline, or just soaking in some Cincinnati history, Rhinegeist hits all the right notes.
I highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting the city or looking for a new...
