I dislike the rule at the museum to scan an adult's passport/driver's license/state-issued identification card if he/she/they come without a child. It made me feel as if the staff felt that I came to the venue for the wrong reasons. While I was present, one person did not patronize the museum because of a lack of identification or the will to furnish it. If the staff is seeking to handle perceived issues, why not scan every adult's license or passport who enters the establishment? In a place where just about every race and ethnicity is represented on the walls, I feel that no one should be a target of prejudices. Shame upon the museum's policymakers! There is not any parking lot designated for the museum. I wish that there were more illustrations of geographic locations of the subjects of the exhibits. I looked up more than half of the countries on Google because I did not know where they were located! I feel that they were patient and kind to them, especially during a reading of a story and an...
Read moreWhat a lovely little children's play space :) This isn't much of a "museum" so much as it is a variety of interactive worldly play areas (think Epcot without the rides or robots). There's Japan, Turkey, Mexico, Nigeria, and a variety of other locations complete with "seek and find" flashcards, toys, books, and authentic items from each region. My young daughters spent 3 hours here and could have spent more! But the space itself is quite small; don't expect a huge space, it's more like a few interconnected rooms.
There is no food or snacks for sale. There is a unisex restroom. Parking is street only, but it's free and plentiful. There is a membership option - if you live nearby and need a place to bring your kids in the rain or snow, this will keep them occupied for...
